You. I have been in the hospital with my mom for a couple of days. She as part of her chronic illnesses and all of her conditions, she frequently goes to the hospital. But this time has been a little bit more scary because she's been in ICU. That said, because hospitals are such a frequent place that we visit, I try to be sure that when I'm packing all the stuff she needs, I also pack the stuff I need so that I can take care of myself

How i make sure to take care of myself even when my loved one is in medical crisis #selfcare #sandwichgeneration #caregiversupport

Hey, Jeanette, thank you so much for sharing this just specific moment of your life with us. And I just love your question. But it's like, I don't know how long this is going to last, and I need to make sure that I'm not putting myself on the back burner thinking that, okay, well, I can just get through this and then I'll have time for myself. That's not how it's been working for the last ten years at least. And of course, she's been sick most of my life
