Poetry rant: covid and the variant cousins do it again.

article image placeholderUploaded by @PKBriggs
I had been going to my local neighborhood bar, having a few drinks with random strangers that aren't so random because I see them often. But now H*** crime. Now when I go anywhere and people are talking to me and even with my mask on, I just see imaginary droplets coming towards my face. Even with my mask going, I just imagine the droplets landing on my eyelash and blinking, and then it touches my eye. And then Cousin Covet is here. O o Macron

But if everyone's vaccinated, then why not go out to dinner for my birthday? But now Omakron has come around. And very suddenly I was trying to remember when I first heard about it. It seems to have come on really fast because I feel like just two weeks ago, maybe three weeks ago, I was so not concerned. And now there's no way I want to do something for Christmas or New Year's

Jeeez..😷 so many moments changed @ZLisbon

And if I'm going to be in my mind, I think I felt a little congested Friday, but I feel congested sometimes seasonal, allergies whatever. And then I was like, oh, my gosh. Sore throat, like you said all this stuff and I got tested yesterday, the rapid situation, and it's negative. And I did the other one, the more severe test or whatever that takes a little longer and prayerfully that comes out negative as well

And I think it's educating yourself and reading up on what's going on, but then also making smart decisions like you said, and you don't know what anyone else is doing. And that's the whole key piece of things of this covet outbreak that's been going on for over two years now. So I think that we always just have to be careful. We have to be smart. We have to realize that we only have one life

Hey, PK and Zara and Jared just sending out the same vibe that you created here, the disappointment, the hope you got to always have hope. And I'm just going to add to that. My throat is always this way in the morning to add to this the benevolence of an outdoor space where you feel, oh, my God. There's a sky above me, there's not a ceiling, there's not walls

@PKBriggs @ZLisbon Omicron is a 'Good' thing in comparison to Delta

The studies that were done and conducted are showing that there is less of a chance or severe outcome, such as respiratory failure, blood clots, heart attacks, things like this, it is very much so becoming more so contagious. This is what viruses do. Instead of if a person or host dies, then the virus is less effective. But if a person is able to survive and spread the virus, then more often than not, this is what a virus does

Thank you for some light in this dark @Professor42

Hey, professor 42, as always, I truly appreciate you and I have been hearing, I mean, like, this thing is so crazy because at first, you know, they talked about, hey, there's this new variant in Africa, and then you hear some stuff about that. And then I feel like it was 48 hours later, they were like, oh, it's in the United States
