What things make you late to your destination?

article image placeholderUploaded by @onwardandupward
Good morning, swell. Hope everyone's doing well. It's another day for us to move onward and upward. I haven't really made that a plug as much lately, but I'm going to have to get better at that with future swells because that is part of my developing, you know, purpose and brand, if you want to call it onward and upward

So I've been so used to being on time and I'm also an early riser, so yeah, I'm the guy that wakes up on the weekend at seven in the morning. That's late for me. If I was to wake up at ten or eleven, I've either stayed up all night, which I seldomly do, or something must be wrong with me in terms of my health. I'm usually always the first to wake up and I'm usually the first to go to sleep

Hey, this is a great conversation. You know, being very, very early like Dawana is talking about is I shared that I don't tend to underestimate the value of being on time when someone likes, especially when they notice, you know, Deb, you're always on time. And I've heard that a few times over my life, and I really take it as a star, and I try to be on time

And then, yeah, you'll have to run it for a little bit before the engine is ready and you can drive away. I was like, Wait a minute, Christina, that's not what he meant. You were talking about because it's cold, right? Your temperature of how you feel to your body, but you can't drive while it's all your cold anyway, I digress

"I'll just get gas tomorrow"

You know, you mentioned briefly in your poster about getting gas, and that is number one for me. And I cannot tell you how many times this has happened, but I'll be driving home and pass a gas station and think, you know what? I should get gas. And then I just get lazy. I just feel like, you know what? I don't want to do it now. I'll just do it tomorrow. It's not a big deal

This is an interesting topic of conversation. Keys. Looking for my keys. I do not put my keys on the rack, which is right by the front door. I put them somewhere now I put them somewhere where I know they're in the vicinity because I do it. I'm a creature of having have it now because I lost my keys or misplaced my keys so many times. But it is definitely looking for my car keys and getting gas

@FryedOreo

Hey, Dewuan, first of all, definitely, you know, hope if you are designing a car, you're able to, you know, get that fairly soon and that it's to your liking and, you know, get you where you need to go and all of that goes well. But back to this conversation. You told me your pseudoscience. Your personality assessment. And I'm an ENFJ. I think. So. Or ENTJ now. But. Yes

@DBPardes

Not assessment, but viewpoint that I read in an article a while back that said that people who don't show up on time are ones that have a more relaxed or at ease approach to not being on time. And they show up late because they understand that when they get there, they show up. They're not less than. They're not reducing themselves

I'm going to show up and be so present with an individual when I'm there that since I'm going to be late. I'm going to self excuse myself and give some grace and compassion. Even though we both would prefer to not be late

I’m late because I wanna be 🤷🏾‍♀️

When I realized it was all me making the choice and there was no thing that I could blame except for my choices and my actions for why I was late all the time, then I had a shift. And not to say I'm on time to everything all the time, but I'm definitely on time to more things than I used to be and the things that I really care about being on time for. I'm absolutely on time. And there's a conversation that happens between me and me

Hey, Liz. Good morning. Yeah. Thank you for joining in on my swell conversation. You definitely hit it straight, as it says in your handle. You're right. I appreciate and resonate with your senses to accountability and ownership or, you know, and you're aware that you're late, and it's up to you to not be late

@onwardandupward Can't fix my problem of being early

And I have tried to be on time or late so that I can be there the same time as them because often I'm meeting somebody in a place and I'm just sitting there waiting on my own, right? Because they're late and I'm early. So that makes it double trouble because I've actually even extended the time that they're late because I'm early. So I try really hard to be on time or just to be late like them. And I can't do it

@GeorgieDee

I don't try to be disrespectful of people's time and I usually let them know in advance I'm going to be late or when I'm there. I've been doing this thing and just saying thank you for waiting for me. I don't ever apologize for any of that. They know that my attention is sincere, I expect. And then we move on because I show up olive, I'm there. Once I'm there, I am with you
