"November Dawn" - Poetry 11/1/23

article image placeholderUploaded by @FromSilence
November dawn, dawn's first golden beams set the tallest tree ablaze. The war is almost done summer finally yielding to winter's onslaught. The cold settles in, accompanied with bitter wind end trying to tear the leaves remaining banners of life down from their wooden spires. But even in triumph the victor is mocked the sun's apricity proclaims hibernal power only lasts so long. Flaming above in November's darkness reminds that life returns

I love the imagery of this poem, and it resonates with me on this November morning so much. There's something interesting about how when we listen to poetry, we're looking for ourselves inside of it. And there's something to the bone from this that kind of penetrated me. And I just wanted to thank you for bringing me so deeply into myself this morning. Thank you

Good evening. Silence. It's evening here in India, and I just loved the imagery of your poem. I could almost feel the increasing winter chill in each line. And you have intertwined both melancholy and hope very beautifully in this creation. In I particularly like the lines when you say that the bitter wind is trying to tear leaves which are remaining banners of life from their wooden spires

I hope you continue to write and know that it's an art and you definitely have it. And I hope that I'm definitely going to look through more of your swells and listen to more of the poetry. I think poetry is such a beautiful way of self expression, and you do it very well. So thank you so much for sharing

It. I just want to thank all of you so much for your very kind comments that you made on the poem. In some ways, I wish I knew what I had done right, because I think this is my first time being selected as an Editor's Choice on here, despite the fact I've been doing this for months and have a lot of different entries. So apparently I did something right. And again, I appreciate what you had to say
