Grand risings, everyone. This is my first swell, so bear with me. To tell you a little bit about myself, I'm at the point in my life where I'm going through being a senior, which is hard to believe. I am 67 years old now, and I have a lot of questions about how other seniors are feeling. And I'm also a newlywed, so I just got married at 66. So things you want to talk about? I'm very spiritual

I feel the same way. It's my birthday week. A bit younger than you, just a bit, and it's been an incredible ride. And I'm always thinking, wow, when my dad passed 13 years ago now, I remember wishing I had a hard drive to pull his brain out because he was such a brilliant physicist and soul

And again, thank you for the invitation of starting and I'm looking forward to any questions that are given. I'll try and answer them truthfully. So, again, light and love. Peace

I definitely have a lot to look forward to and am excited that I've continued to take care of myself and my body and elevating my soul in my mindset so that I can post a bomb a** picture like that too. But I'm in my 60s. Welcome to the platform. Congratulations. Looks for it to many more contributions from you and invite you to participate in a few of my twelve

@DivaNana: Welcome & Wow…

Divanina. This is rev. LJ. I am a vocational pastor and community servant here in Virginia. I want to welcome you first to Swell and I want to say that I am incredibly encouraged by your sharing both congratulations on joining this very uplifting, kind, respectful community. Such a breath of fresh air for social media, though audio only and new in and of itself in spaces where we've used pictures and video to really lean into communicating with one another across borderlines, across countries

So I think that was the breakdown of our families and why these young women don't have anybody to talk to. That's why I like to be an inspiration if they have any questions and I can talk to them about the trials and tribulations I went through getting to this point now in my senior years. So, again, thank you for the ones. Well, welcome and hope to talk to you soon. Bye

@DivaNana: intergenerational inspiration…

And that can't happen unless there's an invitation from both sides of the aisle into conversation. I just wanted to sort of get on here and just expound on sort of my motivation for encouraging you to share about your journey, and I thank you for doing that. Right. That younger people do need to hear that love exists. That happiness truly exists later in life. Because there is an illusion of scarcity. Probably born by a capitalistic society. And maybe that's a swell for another day

Alaafia Welcome

You make it about each other, and you make sure you guys get that quality time in that's the most important thing when it comes to a marriage, because in this day and age, folks are so quick to get divorced and they don't want to work out things. I learned that the first time because we got married for the wrong reasons the first time. So now we learn that God gave us the break of the divorce. We learned a lot of things that brought us back together
