#2023Story | A new diet/health hack I tried this year was...

article image placeholderUploaded by @DBPardes
And I am going to add my sort of revelation this year in a reply to this so that I can use a photo. So think about it. What kind of new health hack did you do that was good for you but also kind of delicious? So I want to kind of focus on food a little bit. Let me know and feel free to add recipes and links to where you got what you got because that's going to make it wonderful. Okay, here we go

Roast it!

The idea of the hack for me is that I put in the oven, and then I leave it, and I come back and it's done. This is cauliflower and sweet potatoes and mushrooms and onions. And it's just if you stir it with the right amount of oil and some spices and just go for it. Cast iron pans are great, by the way. You really give it a chance

@DBPardes, you may enjoy using a Sous Vide to cook your veggies!

Hey, Deb, thanks so much for the invite to this swell. Since you were talking about baking veggies and how much you enjoyed it, I also wanted to share that we have also, my partner and I also use the sous vide. And so I have a picture here. I'm pretty sure this is marinating. We're marinating meat here, and we've done. We're going to be doing the lobsters for Sunday, and we've done creme brulee

Welcome to Swell!

@vanessaragains

@DBPardes, we are using and enjoying Home Fresh meals. We pick them each week and delivered to our door on Sunday. Great portion size!

So it's really not a lot of waste, which I appreciate. So it's been really awesome. I have a picture of one of the meals we recently did. It was so delicious, and you can see how colorful this is. And they really do an amazing job of piecing all the meals together. My partner and I have learned how to make hummus sauce. We've made pico de gallo, and it's been really fun

Hi, Vanessa. Hi, Deb. I'm jumping in on the sous vide, girls. Yes, Deb. Vanessa. What? Vanessa said ditto and. Ditto and. Oh, so amazing. The sous vide is just absolutely great if you want to roast a chicken. It's just outrageous. And I just enjoy saying that word. Word. Sous vide. And very french. I like everything french, except for the wars. Have a wonderful Christmas, ladies

Food as Fuel.

I have this idea that I eat to sustain my body. And when I go out to eat, it's general or eat at home, it's generally really good, like the veggies that are posted and all of that good stuff. But this year, beginning of the year, I fell down. I was forgetting to eat. Like, literally days would go by. I'm like, oh my God, I need to call the doctor because I'm sick. Something is coming

@OnAcornBay - Food As Fuel ⛽💧

So when I am using now, I have definitely steered clear from the drive throughs, which has made a huge difference in my life and the way that I feel in my body. And when we are choosing foods to fuel us, it's fun because it's like a journey in itself as well. Because you learn, we are not statistics. We are individual human beings on this planet. And everybody's body works and processes foods differently
