#TellYourStory | Things I do because the calendar screams "It’s the first of the month!"
Rabbit, rabbit. That is something people say at the first of the month. And I'm going to link an article in the Farmer's Almanac that tells you why that is. I don't say Rabbit, rabbit, but I've been thinking about the first of the month and how it conjures up for us this instinct, this behavior, to do something, to think about something
And then you'll find that it's sort of midday on your Saturday and you spend a few hours watching a game and you missed out on an event you wanted to go to, or you maybe wanted to make plans that you can't do until the following weekend. So it just sort of helps me with my roadmap for each month. But I'm curious to know if people have superstitions that they sort of stick to on the first of every month. Very curious to know

Anxiety when I, years ago, the first of the month, would just shoot my anxiety up over the wall because that's when rent was due. And sometimes I didn't have it all in the same place to make sure that it would come out and read timely and all that. When I think back on it, I always had the rent, I paid it, I never missed
So whether it's a first day of the month or the first day of the week or the first hour of the day, for me always I need some time to spend upon and look forward how my time is going to be look like

Hi deb. The first of the month means a routine to me. It doesn't change anything in my life because I have a set of habits I constantly practice like healthy eating habits, meditation for my mental health and yoga for physical wellbeing. At the beginning of each month, I promise myself that not to break the is consistency. That's all. Thank you. Take care

You. Wow, what a really interesting topic. You know, it's one I haven't given a heck of a lot of thought to, but the first of the month for me, it's not so much a rabbit hole as much as, oh my gosh, bills, bills and bills and budgeting and sitting down and taking care of all that on for eleven months, twelveTH month December. This is the last month of the year, every year

I also to think about other things, like the things we all have to think about, which is paying bills and then wondering, is this next month, is this new month going to be better than the last? Or just a repeat of the usual? Was I able to get anything done with my writing and podcasting and things I enjoy doing outside of work on that previous month? Am I going to have time to do that or more of it on the new month?

If it's something that I need to daily a card or a gift, th out. Obviously get that in the mail. Or if it's someone that I'm normally going to call or text, just kind of set an alert so I don't forget their birthday. So I would say running through the upcoming birthdays that month is something that I always do when I hear that I'm prompted to do. When the calendar says it's the first of the month

So that aside, one thing that I do just because it's the first, I always reorganize my closet, my drawers and stuff like that. I refold everything and anything that's gotten out of place. Like, I have to have denim with denim, dress shirts with dress shirts, t shirts with T shirts and stuff like that. So throughout the month, that kind of gets a little off kilter

I don't do shit on the first of the month. I mean, I don't want to hear about the rent being due. I've been paying rent for forever. I don't want to hear about bills. I just don't want to hear it. So it's like, to me, what else is new? What's new? Tell me something new I don't have. They extended the rent from 30 days, calendar days now. I think it should be changed

I love to go through the calendar so that I can balance out what those and work projects I have coming up and make sure I try to squeeze in some quality time with people too. It doesn't always work. A lot of times those days are already booked out far in advance. But I like to plan ahead a little bit
