Have you read or watched Where the Crawdads Sing?
I have finally gotten around to reading Where the Crowd? Dad Sing by Julia Owens, a book that blew up for a while and then had a resurgence when Owens and her husband were in the news for possibly being connected to a real life murder. It's all very dramatic, but I wanted to ask if any of anyone out there in swell land has read this book or watched the Bowie

So, yeah, thank you for this, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the book. That that ending was such a t*** such a t*** drop, I would say. Yeah. Have a good one. Bye

And I know this sounds antithetical to people that think that there's a pure I'm not a purist at all. I think stories should come out in any way, shape or form, because in stories, we see ourselves and we become more empathetic to others that are not like ourselves. And if we lock it away in a book, it's a sad story when you can't tell a story

I agree. You can always find a way to tell a story. I'm going to check the movie out. I wasn't going to because, you know, it seemed like such a difficult thing to adapt. Now I'm going to thank you. I know what I'm doing this weekend. Have a good one. Bye

Hi. My name is Nola. I watch where the Crawdads sing. Absolutely love the movie from beginning to the end. My daughter, on the other hand, watched it and she didn't like it. So I guess it's all to do with taste. But I do feel like it was a good movie. I haven't read the book yet on it, so I guess I may try that next

But I thought I said everything in that Swell, which I could have said here, but somehow both are linked. So I'm pasting the link to that Swell in the description. I hope you find some time to go through that and maybe share your thoughts there as well. Thank you so much

I will say I didn't fully after reading it, which I'm glad I did, I had a good experience. I didn't fully understand the hype though, if I'm completely honest. This book didn't create such an intense emotional experience for me that I tend to think of when I think of books that really blew my hair back or end up being in all the best of lists, et cetera
