Do not avoid having hard conversations or force arguments. Do show you care, show you love them. Do not show hatred and contempt

I think a lot of times as single people, we don't like having difficult conversations and relationships because we don't want to sabotage the relationship. And so even though that red flag might be flying or there just may be some really challenging topics that need to be discussed and aired out, sometimes we like to tiptoe around those things because we don't want to sabotage this relationship. We don't want to run anybody away. We want everything to just remain copacetic

And there's this great book called Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus that explicitly and so eloquently explains that entire dynamic. And I highly recommend everyone listen to or read that book. It's not very long and it just gives a really concise depiction of the kind of male female brain, or should I say the masculine, feminine brain. I have had couples who've where the man acted more like how they described the woman in that book and vice versa
