One word

article image placeholderUploaded by @Synthesis.mind
With so much that happens around us and with us in the world reflecting, self reflecting and thinking about what we're attracted to, or what I'm attracted to is one of the things that I tend to do every now and then just to keep the self sharp, to make sure that I'm staying true to the authenticness of what it is that I'm actually striving for, that I'm not getting sidetracked in any kind of way

Selfknowing

Hey, Crystal. One love. One love. My word is love. I would say that one really sums everything up for me. When I look back at different periods of my life, I always say, we are one. We are all love, right? I kind of go by that. And where did we come from? Pure love. Where are we going to pure love? So for me, it's always been a theme of love that everything always comes back to it

#imagination

Hi, Crystal. Thank you for sharing this. I really like this challenge that you've given for yourself and then shared with us. I think for me, in this moment moment right now in my life, the word is inspiration. And I looked at the definition. There's a couple of different ones. The faculty or action of forming new ideas or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses

And I, in a way, like, think hearing you say that has given me a lot of relief because I think doing, like, a value exercise, there's all these terms like power and other terms that I think have all these associations with it that I think oftentimes people kind of avoid saying that. But I don't know, I think hearing you say that has just released me of a lot of that. And, yeah, I think that's just super cool. So thank you

But the moment a woman says it, it's like you need to tone that down because you're too strong, you're too this. No, it's not that I'm becoming too strong. I'm just coming into another perspective of myself. Now, granted, all women may not strive for power but I am just one that do and I'm attracted to it

Hey, that is such a good point. I mean, power is such is seen as such a masculine trait in our society and it is also just such a bummer that, you know, men get all the power at least in the patriarchy. So I think the fact that your one word is power is also very powerful and it really stands for something and I love what you say. It's kind of this umbrella for all these things about process and self discipline and you talk about boundaries as well

But you have to do the work of prying away society imposed expectation and really get to know who you are and what you want and how to go for those things

Why do we do this when we really want to do something else? So all of my education is centered around the different parts of brain health and understanding the mind and understanding linguistics and anthropology. That's the background. And even with those foundational things, it still helps to carve out and I guess reinforce the power, because that old cliche, knowledge is power. That is just partially true. It's the execution. It's the proper execution of knowledge, which requires wisdom, right?

Curiosity.

One word that best describes my attraction to things is curiosity. It is something that fuels my being every single day from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep without my knowledge. Usually that's how sleep comes to me. 1 minute I'm up, next minute I'm knocked out. But curiosity is the end all and beall for me and my quest to discover information to obtain knowledge is at the epicenter of my being

@Synthesis.mind: Speak, an action/transmission/creation.

Because if you're speaking, how can someone truly be heard if you're speaking, right? But I tried to affirm and confirm that I have heard people by leveraging speech and speaking. And so that sort of describes, I guess, and I'm rambling a little bit my convictions behind this one word. But at the end of the day, I've devoted the latter half of my life to exploring this as one of my most deepest passions. And I thank you so much for this while
