Lesson 1 Practice | My name is...

article image placeholderLesson 1 | Acknowledge Your Courage
Well, according my research, I can identify that my name is similar, but it has meaning in Spanish. No, in English. Because Sylvia is like to Selva. In English, jungle. So I think Sylvia is latin name. So that is the related with the meaning of my name. My middle name. I hate that name. But I gonna call you. But I don't like it. That is Janet. Oh

Sylvie. Thanks so much for your story. My mother's name is Sylvia, so when I saw your name, I was very excited. And it's fun to be named after someone in the movies. It's very special. So welcome to swell and thanks for replying to this

In Latin, "spirit of the wood," or espiritu de la madera. BEAUTIFUL!

But the french form is Sylvie, and it comes from the latin word that I think is awesome because it means spirit of the wood, and it's the mythological God of the forest who was associated with the figure of Sylvanus. So you should really cling on to that, because spirit of the wood, that is freaking awesome. And you did a really good job. I love how you kind of snickered in it. That was endearing that you kind of giggled a little bit
