Stuffed cabbage with rice and meat. It's something my grandmother brought over from Russia, and it's just made my tummy warm. And I loved it. So that's my memory. What's yours? Looking forward to hearing

@DearAuntyAng · 0:28
Hi, I'm Anngela. Known as Auntie Ange. Not sure if I'm super new. Got actually about four months here on the app. But my bowl would be full of vanilla ice cream. Okay, so vanilla ice cream in it, but it's mostly filled with rainbow sprinkles. So it's like half ice cream, half sprinkles. So, like the whole like half the container of sprinkles with a little bit of ice cream and yeah, that's what's in my bowl

My grandmother from Ukraine, Kiev, made a mean bowl of cream of wheat. Even better, cocoa wheat. She was a double broiler, I think was her secret. So it never burned. And it was really, really good. Definitely brings back childhood memories. I hadn't about cocoa wheats in a long time. I appreciate the reminder. What if I still make it? It's probably terrible now, but anyway, it was good. I think I'll leave the memory intact

When I do buy it, I'll eat it cold as it comes, but I'll let it sit out on the counter for a couple of maybe about 15 minutes just so that it's not as chilled. And I enjoy rice pudding. So I would fill my bowl with rice pudding and

And so we had a lot of foods growing up that were a little bit more carb heavy, because that's what was cheap, but not unhealthy for us, by any means. And it's something that to this day, I don't make it on my own. My parents make it. Not that I can't. I absolutely can. But there's just something about it that being made by my parents makes it just a little bit more special investigate

So in my empty bowl it would be my daddy's spaghetti. Though his spaghetti recipe is my grandmother's, who is Sally no longer with us and no one can make it like her, of course. But my daddy comes pretty close and always with his garlic bread that he makes and if course, he still makes it and it still takes me back and that's what's in my bowl
Patric Phillips
@patriclane · 1:56
Probably some scrambled eggs with cheese. My dad was a big breakfast cook, so oh, he loved it too. He's like the old Waffle House up in there, except he didn't have a flat top. But anywho yeah, probably that. I mean, I'm a sucker for some cinnamon Toast Crunch as well, with maybe some soy milk or oat milk, preferably. And then let's see what else we got
Mike Lymond
@AllowMe2Explain · 0:41
You. It may sound silly, but I'm going to have to say my bowl contained the classic maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal. When I was a kid, we didn't get it very often, but when we did, it was a special treat. Used to love that stuff. Kind of makes me want to go to the store and get some now. But I don't eat the sugary stuff anymore, so that's my memory. And that's actually one of the good ones
YN Beshier
@NewWordOrder · 0:43
Hi, everyone. I'm yvette. Deborah. Awesome question. It's a tough question as well. I would have to narrow my choice down to a coin toss. So the coin at this point would have to determine what goes into my bowl. I definitely know which choices I would choose or select from. One would be Cream of Wheat and one would be Maple. If there was a way that I can get both of them in the bowl, then I would do that

And covered in my family, what we call gravy, which is pasta sauce, what most people would call it, that has been cooked for at least a couple of days and is nice and thick and warm, sticks right to the top of that manicotti. And Christmas time was always the time that my mom made this and we were all able to indulge in it. And just thinking about it makes me warm inside. And

But I thought that was really cool, and I wanted to chime in. I just literally downloaded this platform about ten minutes ago, saw it on Facebook or Instagram. And you know what? I am really digging the concept of it. I think it's really cool. But, yeah, realtor Sarasota, Florida market slowed down, but it's still booming down here. Good morning, everyone. My name is Cynthia Berry from Louisiana. Inside my bowl would be seafood gumbo from down south. I'm telling you, it is so refreshing, so warmth. It's good for your body and your soul. If you haven't had a taste of seafood gumbo, you need to come down south and enjoy some of our Cajun culture

I was listening to this, and I was so kind of mike touched and impressed that the meal that you had, even though you said you grew up without things, the meal that you had is still very special to you. And it reminded me of my grandmother, who, before she moved to the US. Was well, still when she moved to the US

I'm excited to get started. My empty bowl would have to be filled with my mom's mashed potatoes. She never it instant. Freda Amorin
@Amorinda · 1:49
Hi, guys. This is Freda Morin from India. Well, I think I cannot think of even one single dish right now which is specific. But, yes, my mom was very good cook, and I think every dish that she prepared was special to me. But, yes, if I have to see that empty bowl full of something, then I think it was poke sorpatel. It is called as poke sorpatel, which is very famous in India. In India. Goa okay
He would ride through our neighborhoods on his bicycle, but on either the front or the back of the bicycle, there would be a makeshift oven where they would be roasting peanuts. Like, they were roasting peanuts on this bicycle. And they were riding around, and they had a little special horn. So we had the luxury at our just hearing that horn come through. We would be able to just run to our gate and buy us some fresh roasted peanuts
But it was always better the second or third time that you heated it up because it would develop this skin on the top of it that you'd have to kind of break through with your spoon. It was a simple food. My mum's a great cook. But that's my over memory of childhood, and that's what's in my bowl. Bye

And and I hard talk radio, live in do podcasts on YouTube and Spotify talking about social and political commentary, and that's what I do. And all right
I was a kid, I'm sure I didn't know about it, but it was the one thing I can reflect back on and say, that was it. That made me feel good. And right now, it's just distant memory for now, since it can't be replicated. So there we have it
Brad Elmer
@ChuteDad64 · 0:55
Just something that from what I'm told is strictly a Utah thing. Possibly even a Mormon thing. Anyway, that's what's in my bowl. Kind of makes me happy. I don't like it, but it's fun to talk about it. Have a great day. Bye
It. My ball would be empty, actually, because I had no one such to fill it. I haven't. Elmer been a lot around my grandparents. Hi there. My name is Trace Nelson. I am brand new to Swell, just joined today, and this is a dope question. I think my bowl would be filled with white llama beans braised with some kind of smoked meat over fluffy Carolina gold white rice. And if there was a little side plate or room on the side of bowl, it probably would have a slice of sweetened skillet cornbread

My mom was a single mom, and she would make what we call noodles, like the old days. Now people have different names. It's just noodles with Mike Pardes cheese on it if you want some pepper. I don't think we had pepper, but with Parmesan cheese, and it just brought me joy. I just love pasta Parmesan cheese to this day. And I'm 45, but that's kind of what's in my bowl today. But I'm glad to be back

@SueM · 1:33
And it was just gnocchi or noki or however other people say it. But I call them gnocchis, which are like little potato pastas with an amazing Italian red sauce. And it was so good. And just thinking about it brings back great memories. So I love hearing everybody else's food bowl choices. Some of them actually ring true to me. The maple syrup and brown sugar oatmeal was like the second thing I was going to say, and someone said that also

I don't know if I'd put it in a bowl, but Mama's French toast? I don't know why it was called that, but it was the leftover bread soaked in oil with American cheese fried in the pan. That brings back so much good memories. Yum, yum

It's a quick and easy to make. It's made of puff rice cut on onions, tomatoes, tamarind sauce, green chili sauce and the taste just gets into your mouth. It's fantastic. I can have it at any given point of time. The day night you woke me up at 03:00 a.m. In the morning. Give me this. I will not complain. I'm really looking forward to this platform. Thank you so much
sidhant bastia
@sidhantbastia · 0:19

Deborah Goodrich
@Aveura · 2:15
She'd mix it together with some cream sauce, she would make season it, she would mix together and she would put it in a casserole dish and she would top it with her homemade biscuits. And it was so good. And when we no longer got commodities, my mother would still mike this for us, like once or twice a year, because we would be like, hey, we kind of missed your casserole
orrin carter

Hey, what's going on? This is Thrse and Orrin. I'm kind of new to the platform, but I guess my bowl would be hot wings. And then a little bit of olive oil on green leaf lettuce or romaine lettuce without having to have all that nastiness of if you're using ranch or something of that nature. But just the pure essence of just the freshness from the vegetables, tomatoes, lettuce and along accompanied by the rice. It is so, so good. I would bring imabol Puerto Rican rice, aroscon landules
Hi. This is Reverend Franshonn Salter. And thinking back over my childhood and the food that I so enjoyed eating, one of my favorite meals that I would definitely fill the bowl with is homemade mashed potatoes and with brown gravy, a corn sweet corn with butter and meatloaf and maybe some homemade biscuits. That is still my all time favorite meal, even to this day
Odion Azekhuemhen
@Traviss · 0:53
Hi. So what I would have in my empty bowl is actually noodles made by my dad. And what actually made these noodles very unique both to I and my siblings, is that he meade these noodles with a lot of green veggies, a lot of green leaves to Natoes and pepper, which actually made it very delicious. Sometimes he makes it when he's around, but when he's not around, we try to make it as much as he does

Carla Harrold
@Love_Is_Kind · 1:04
Hi. This is Carla, and this is my first reply. I just made my swell late this afternoon. And what I see in that bowl is a nice big bowl of goulash, or at least what we called goulash in our house. Growing up, we had a large family, so we had to go on the very economic side. And that was definitely something economical that would go a long ways for us, and so much so that I did the same thing in my household with my children
Kimberly Blu
@Blu · 0:33
In my bowl, I would have Kellogg's Frosty Flakes. We would have it Saturday mornings watching TV with families. So for me, it brings back good childhood memories to just have a bowl of Frosty Flakes and sometimes with bananas chopped inside the bowl with cold milk. So that's a fond memory for me
Penelope Tiam
@IAmJoydeVie · 1:06
Hey, Deborah. This is Penelope. I'm new to the app as of today, and I love this question about what would be in your bowl. A previous memory or childhood memory. So, for me, I am from Guyana, South America, and my family would make a dish called Cookup rice. And it's basically where you take rice, you put some seasonings and fresh herbs, you cook it down in coconut milk
