Anxiety? Is it something familiar in your life?

So maybe just a teeny weeny bit, but it I think you will enjoy the book and would love your thoughts. I think it's very good that we live in a world now where talking about mental health is a bit more accepted. But I do think we have a long way to come or a long way to go. So please share your thoughts and I look forward to hearing from you. Bye

Hi. My hand is raised here on Swell. I have been an anxious person probably ever since I've been little, and I have struggled with it throughout my adult life. But like you have mentioned, I have had lots of support and I have lots of tools that I use to help me. But this title, The Anxious Achiever, I'm really intrigued by that, and I will have to check it out

I definitely have periods where I'm definitely battling it and I love when I'm noticing that I'm not and it's getting less and less because I think as you get older, I think you get some people, I think, get more used to navigating life and not allowing for the anxiety to grip us. But it's something I'm familiar with. To answer your question, throughout my life, and we're living in times that introduce us to anxious scenarios that make us more anxious

And I've done a really good job personally for myself in identifying anxiety as a certain energy and an energy that I can use in some type of way. And for the most part, nine times out of ten, when I'm going through those really anxious moments, that is actually when I get the best PRS, the best numbers for my workouts

But I also think that there's a lot of anxieties that go for Dads that's not addressed and because of Dads need to have this strong outer and not really addressing what's happening. Inner and also toxic masculinity and toxic femininity, toxic positivity. Let's keep it light, guys. Good vibes only. Good vibes. That's just bullshit, right? It's not good vibes. It's masking and saying, what's the good? Stay positive. It's okay

I think this is such a healthy, healthy conversation to be having. I know anxiety, I'm not a frequent visitor or it's not a frequent visitor of me, but it does come around from time to time and there's no shame in that. Regardless of the duration of visits or duration in between visits, it can be debilitating in and of itself whenever and however it shows up

Yeah, I just listened to this whole thread, and I feel so, like, in good company. Anxiety is something very familiar in my life since, you know, from childhood up until now. And it's yeah, I mean, we we know how it is. It's it's it's it's rough. It's something that, you know, you that there's no choice but to deal with it
