You. Hi, everyone. I was wondering what your earliest memory was. I'm really curious about this because everyone is so different in terms of what they remember and at what point they remember it. So if you feel like you're up for this, this could be really interesting. Tell me, what was your first

And my sister, my birth sister, well, I was three, she was about five to six and it was a very traumatic event for her when I was taken, and she spent dozens of years looking for me and this is all pre computer and Google and DNA and all that sort of thing. So she had to do it the old school way with phone books and rumors and tracking down rumors and microfish. I really can't imagine how she did it

And I was able to give details, and she was just shocked. I'm an organizational psychologist and psychology professor, so in my opinion, it was the gunshot. And I remember this was, like, late fall, and we get snow. And I remember he didn't bury the dog. He put put her in a bag. And we had gullies. We were at the end of a street, like, with the woods being behind us. I remember finding that bag years later

@Jeremiah73 incredible share. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. #FamilyLife #AskSwell

You. Hi. Thank you so much for sharing this story. I am blown away by it. I'll tell you for a couple of reasons. When I asked the question, it was almost like I was thinking of you because obviously I'm not psychic. But I was wondering if someone would share with me a story like the one you shared. So I have a million questions, so maybe we should do another swell just about that. But first of all, incredible story

But, yeah, I'd be glad to answer any questions. It's kind of therapeutic. And at this age, I'm sitting there, that's part of the perplexion I have is, why do I need to talk about this? I went so many years without. But it is kind of nice to talk about it. So thanks a lot. You have a great day. Bye

@BKFOREMAN69 Early memories.

You. Well, again, this is incredible, because this is what I was thinking on my end, too, in terms of remembering things really early and being told that couldn't possibly be something you would remember. And also society as a whole in some instances. I guess, really ignoring these really formative memories that children have, So thanks for sharing those memories. They're Incredible. By the way, I also was petrified of basements. And I love Beagles. Everybody has a type

There's this little black indie dog puppy, and we had all built it, a little cage made out of wire, and we would play with it. We all had sheth turns. We were all buying extra milk to feed it, I suppose, and none of our parents were discouraging us. So it was like pretty cool, I think. And then kids from street 36 one evening because they saw us, 30 street 38 kids having fun with this dog who I think was named Simba

Hi. So my first memory, our earliest memory, I was standing outside our house in the front yard on a Saturday afternoon playing with my siblings. I think my mother and my older brother was probably doing lawn, doing the lawn. But we were playing and it was a Saturday afternoon, late afternoon, like maybe around five or six. And it was probably summer because I live in Connecticut. So to be outside and it not be dark or cold, it had to be like summer

I think over the years, it became more of a dream that I found the dog, but he put her in a black garbage bag and just kind of pitched her over the hill and you're a curious little kid. And can't say I was very well supervised because that would have put me at being, like, three years old, four years old, just wandering around the yard

@Jeremiah73 Connections and early memories. #AskSwell #Childhood

In fact, I notice different things in them. I notice a shift in my expression, and I notice what other people are thinking, or at least what I think they're thinking. There's a lot of information in images I notice, so that also helps with some of the memories. If you have pictures. I also really love the picture of you two together, and I'm so thankful that you found one another

@Binati_Sheth Early memories and childhood play. #AskSwell

I just remember playing outside all the time and making up games and toys, playing with cardboard, for instance, things like that. Anyway, not to totally digress into thinking that that was a better time, but in a way, being able to play uninterrupted and being safe is amazing. So you have a lot of memories there, not just the dogs, but, like, the sense of community and how you all collaborated. Thank you for sharing

@catsandlocusts First memory. #Childhood #AskSwell

You. Thanks for sharing that memory. Actually, I can totally relate. I also think that I was remembering things around that same time. Not a lot of things. Unfortunately not pleasant things. I think you must have been incredibly uncomfortable, and that's why it stands out to you. But also, like, what's interesting is that you felt very similarly in urgent care or in the emergency room

And that's what mindfulness is, by the way, which you probably know and is something that you were doing way before anyone said, hey, you should be mindful, because there's so much, you know, as a kid that you kind of unlearn sometimes, at least in my case. It's really fascinating. I'm just curious, do you remember what you were wearing? Because the colors seem to pop out at me

You. Wow. I had a border collie, too. A beagle and then a border collie. Congratulations. That should keep you really busy. And by the way, the idea of a free subscription is a great idea. I will also ask about that, if that's okay. I'm going to steal that idea. All right. Talk again soon

Interesting @souzanalavi

The reason why it has mixed memories is that we used to go to school in an auto and there was a girl who was eight or nine years old and she also had a similar set up above her, above her house on the terrace. And many months later we came to know that she was diagnosed with HIV AIDS. She was HIV positive. It happened during a blood transfusion because she was extremely unwell

@Bookbot What was your earliest memory? #AskSwell #ChildhoodMemories

But losing her first, where she wasn't able to play with you anymore and hardly you only saw her once. And then the fact that she passed away at such a young age, such a needless situation, such a horrible time. There's so much loss around HIV, and so many people were lost during that disease and continue to be lost. It's really sad, but it's also beautiful because you remember her and it's really creative what you guys were able to build on that terrace

And I took them down to the crawl space, and then they broke off their stems and they rolled everywhere. Maybe I was three. I could have been three. I think I moved in when I was, like, two and a half, so I wasn't three quite three yet, but I think I was quite mobile enough to take these plastic grapes and bring them into the crawl space. And I just have this memory of these grapes rolling around the crawl space

@DBPardes Earliest memory.

You. That's a great memory. Both memories. You were super courageous, you know, and so little to just, like, travel through the driveway on your dad's shoulders and not remembering any of that fear and then taking off with those grapes into a crawl space and having them roll around. That's pretty visual. I remember those grapes, and I still don't understand why people had them. So thank you so much. It's interesting what we remember and what we don't
