Celebrating 1 year of sobriety!

article image placeholderUploaded by @Sheisme1986
Hello, everyone. I hope you all had a great day. I am feeling so good as I celebrate my one year of sobriety. Goodness gracious. I can honestly say this was not hard. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Like, in hindsight, I think during the time of me drinking, picturing a life of sobriety just seems so dull and boring and lackluster. But it is absolutely the opposite. I feel so vibrant and just motivated

She coined the term sober, curious, has a book about it and 100 Day Work Book Journal that was really helpful for me and I've been debating doing it again, doing 100 Days along with the journal reflections because that really helped me just stay on my purpose and why I was doing this. Um, so just thanks for sharing it. It inspires me to continue on my sober journey

Hi, Chelsea. Thank you so much for responding and encouraging me. Yes, that book is awesome. A Comic Habit. Also, thanks for also recommending the journal workbook. I got to go back and see what the author's name was, but I love a good journal, so that's also helpful. So, yeah. I appreciate you so much for welcoming me into this space, and I'm glad you found inspiration in my story

Hi Cheniece, I know that you celebrated your one year in June, but I wanted to jump on here and also offer my congratulations to you. I know that first year can be challenging in some parts of the journey. However, I am so glad that you were able to find resources to support you in that first year. And I think that that's a huge piece of choosing to become sober is that first year can be a little tricky for folks. I think so
