And then the nurse pulled me into the hall and she said, when they lose weight that fast, it's very bad. And she was right. He lost consciousness a few days later and was taken to a hospital and put on life support. Margaret and I were with him every day. And then some doctor who I'd never seen before told me I had to take him off life support. And I said, no. I don't want him dying a death where he's struggling to breathe

And when she was 13, she was like, I'm going to run away and go live with my father. And I drove her out there. I was afraid for her to stay with him because he was abusive to me. That's why I broke up with him. And she wanted to spend the summer with him. And a few days later, she called, crying for me to come and get her. But she lasted about a week. It was so emotional
