Can you go without your phone for a day?..week, month maybe?

I wonder what the world would be like if we were to take some steps back towards how things were maybe like a decade or two ago. What would that look like today? Would it be for the better? Or would it be for just the sense of redundancy and just primitiveness? Let me know what you guys think

Hi. This is such a great question and I was actually just thinking about this this morning after listening to a podcast where they had brought up just being aware of the tracking on your phone of the government. People can just look at, know where you are, like based on these apps and our phone, everything. And I started to kind of get a little freaked out and that people can just sell your data to companies can just sell your data to whoever they want

Hey, thanks for getting back to me. Yeah, like, a lot of your a lot of your feedback was definitely needed, and it just it helped put a lot of just the things that I already kind of new and just kind of, like, had just in my mind

And, yeah, I think those moments are always nice, and as long as there's, like, a good balance between that, I think it's okay. But, yeah, this is a great conversation, and I really like talking about it. I don't know, I think it's interesting everyone has a different view on phones. Like, I see some people, and they're just constantly scrolling

Limits, landlines,…and conversations??

So the landlines and then just the way that people communicated, right? So we didn't have access to global state of affairs. So I didn't really know unless it made it to, like, the 06:00 news that there was a school shooting in Wyoming, unless it was like, headline news that was on the front of the newspaper the next morning, we didn't know about it. And access to this information almost instantaneously, right

Limits, landlines,…and conversations?? (Pt. 2)

I didn't have any fear about not knowing what was going on in my neighborhood, or not going what's going on in my town, in my city, in my state. Because all of that by some other medium, even if it's passerby or in passing conversation with people, we still have the ability to converse with each other face to face

If you haven't seen it, I really recommend it because I don't know, honestly, it kind of makes you more scared about everything in this world. But at the same time, it kind of brings relief to know that there are smart people out there who are aware of how crazy things have gotten with technology and social media and everything and do not think it's good and feel very regretful for what they originally designed with good intention, but has just ultimately spiraled out of control

Wow. Great topic. It's crazy. We usually talk about stuff like this in conversation with the friends family, and during that discussion, we just tell everybody, see how long you can put your phone down? And usually it will last about 30 minutes to an hour, and then someone's phone will go off and they have to answer it

What a great question!

Hey, there. I think this is a topic or question that comes up a lot nowadays, especially within my friend groups and my family and stuff. And my mom is always trying to, like, limit our phone to time and kind of get us to be engaged in other activities that don't involve our devices

Because while there's a few positives to being on your phone, there's also a lot of negatives. So I think it's best if we all take some time and just explore the world without our phones because we might see a lot of things that we didn't notice before. Thank you so much for this well and I hope you have an amazing day. Bye
