Question of the Day: What technological advancements do you hope to see in the near future?

article image placeholderUploaded by @sengri_la
I'll just answer this one right away, but I'll respond to your comments as well. What I'm hoping to see, and I brought this up with Aricelli the other day, is so there's this movie called her. It stars Joaquin Phoenix, and it has to do with AI. He has an AI companion who's voiced by Scarlett Johansson that he just kind of carries around with him. It has conversations with him as he's walking and talking and doing things throughout his day

And there's some type of AI something or some type of technology that once I say the amount, it automatically knows what bank I use, that it immediately processes the transaction or does what it needs to do to complete the transaction. And it crosses off my to do list. Or I can articulate out loud, I need to fold clothes. And then I come home and the clothes are already organized, sorted and folded. That would be dope

But in that place we need to have a better way to manage refuse of all kinds, both glass and tin and plastic and the regular stuff that's theoretically not as toxic. But we're so far behind what's happening globally, and people have to pay attention to the fact that we are burying ourselves in garbage and we are creating stuff that can't be decomposed. So it's just going to build more stuff

Hey, jail. Thank you so much for replying. You know, I actually have quite the answer for you for some of the things you addressed first. Yeah, I do think it'd be very interesting if we ever become a species or if there's ever a time where sorry, I'm trying to make something right now where people introduce their family or friends to their significant AI or whatever, that'd be very interesting. What I was more talking about was something just more personal

And it just doesn't sit right with me. It really doesn't because I recycle. I recycle and I compost. So I'm constantly separating out the things from my garbage or rubbish to serve a better purpose because I'm trying to be aware of my carbon footprint and be aware of the trash that's coming from my home. But, yeah, I think if we had more of an automated maybe if you integrate AI into it, it would really make a difference

Then if you can't afford it, it's kind of impractical. And generally speaking, you can make better food at home. But that takes just the way I think modern life is. It's cut up into a million different pieces for me. So I'm always scrambling all over the place. So prepping shopping, all that, getting some variety in your meals and being very consciously healthy about the way you eat just takes a lot of time for me

AI helping in accessibility #Accessible #Inclusivity

Hi. As someone who's been a wheelchair user in the past, I would really prefer a technological advancement where, if I plan to go somewhere, I would want AI to tell me if that place is disabled friendly, is wheelchair friendly, is it accessible? Do I need assistance? Is assistance available there for me, or do I need to have someone with me? I move around that place on my own. Can I navigate there on my own? Or should I just drop that idea?

I wish that companies would do that. It's crazy because it's such a simple thing. And if you think about it, there doesn't need to be any major technological changes to make this possible. It's honestly just scripting. It's just taking the time to include that for people to see. Wow, now I'm really thinking about this now. It really wouldn't take much at all. I thank you so much for replying to my post
