A humanist jaded by humanity.

It might be within the mind of an individual. Maybe it's a teen who lives in Bangladesh or Antarctica who saw a movie or read a book or something that inspired a thought. And he said, or she said, what if this could work? And that if scientists who were trying to solve that particular problem had that idea understood that there were enough tangible connections there that this could be a possible solution

Could we evolve to viscerally understand, to live life in community with each other, every living creature, & our home - Earth?

If we can dissolve things like undo influence where it's over concentrated in a specific kind of business or cartel or political structure, the more we can chip away at how much individual entities hold on to power, the faster and I believe, more smooth we can get to a global common humanitarian culture. Anyhow. Maybe that's just a high pipe dream. But I think that technological and even statistical forces will tend to take us that way, but love to hear what others have to say on this

Inspiration comes in many forms.

So that huge void of the future as much as we want to fill it and expand upon it. Maybe we have been evolving, but it doesn't fit your ideal in what you probably Dee as evolution within humans in relation. Let me give an example of something that I've seen that was very cool, and it showed in some small way how we, as a species, or at least as people in the world, have kind of evolved. The actor Ellen Page recently. Well, not recently

And I definitely agree that the big obstacles are those preconceived ideas of what should be, whether it's the oil industry or power structures, even deconstructing some of the constructs we've created that we've limited gender to be so very binary when it's like everything else, everything is on a spectrum. Yeah. Tearing down those ideas, it's going to be quite the undertaking. But again, maybe if we Zoom out far enough, given give it some time, maybe we'll get there
@SeekingPlumb

That was kinda Zen, @Wuandurful. πŸ˜„πŸ™πŸ»

What I mean is I think there's, like these waves or ups and downs swells if you will, of progress and not progress. And you mentioned a perfect example of that in Elliot coming out and the acceptance not only widely, but as us as individuals. But you're right. If I just take a breath and Zoom back in and look more locally at now there are good things happening. And who is to say whether they'll continue in that direction or not?

Our micro lives ...

But other when you hear responses like we just heard that sort of tip the hat towards progress, you feel like maybe things are going to be okay. And it is about the momentary feelings around possibility and hope. I say this with the thought of my father, who when he was on his deathbed and I held his hand and I was giving him his last drops of morphine

Controversial Fatalistic Point of View

What is reality, the vanity of man, that our consciousness is so very important fascinates me. Hey, I want to keep living. This is just a very controversial point of view. I just thought I'd throw it in in there

I shake my fist in your general direction, @GeorgieDee! πŸ˜†

Oh, my God. Georgie. Now you've made it worse. I Zoom out, and suddenly the timeline is that much longer. You know, the universe existed before we came to be and Will, after we were gone. And will we evolve into something new and different or something we are unaware of at this time. Oh, my goodness. My mind runs in circles. Okay, but seriously, you're right. You're right
