So I'm starting the collage challenge, where you share a bit about yourself by sharing a photo, a link and asking a question with the new ask feature. And I was thinking to continue the collage theme, that we could tag a mix of our favorite Swell casters and some new voices, too, so that this can grow and expand and get us connected to people that we haven't maybe talked as much to yet. So since Christine inspired this, I'm going to challenge her first

So I'm going to start by sharing a link to this, to a song from an album that I've been listening to a lot. The album is called Everything Harmony by the Lemon Twigs. They're these two great rocio brothers from from New Jersey and this is one of the songs that I've been having on repeat. It's called new to me. And I think it's really beautiful

And I wanted to share a photo from the Solstice because it's the first time in my life that I'm up this north for it. And it was crazy to have just two and a half, 3 hours of darkness. And the light had a very special quality. So that's something that's that's been sticking with me these past few days. And this was taken at a lake not too far from where my dad grew up, which was pretty special

You just start seeing things more because you're still awake and alive and it's so light outside and it's still so late and it's just a really good feeling. I just love, like, when it's 08:00 and you still could see things, but this is about 10:00 at night and you'll see the shine of the of Yucca Valley in the distance, but then this darkness and then the light of the pool and it's part of my collage reaction to your collage

So this is another really cool thing that I've been perusing. It's this guy, Phil Elvram's bookshelf that he has on his website. And he's great. He's a songwriter and a musician, and I really, really love his work. And so it's super cool for me to look at what the bookshelf of somebody who's writing. I really admire what that looks like. Of course, I'm like writing down every book that jumps out, which is most

Okay. And also something that I've been enjoying a lot lately has been taking long walks around the city. Copenhagen has a canal, so I've been swimming in there, spending time outdoors and enjoying the summer. And it has me thinking about how I love doing these activities that cost no money. So here's my question. What is your favorite thing to do for free?
I love this so much. So much. I really hope this takes off. And thank you. I feel honored. So honored. My favorite thing to do that's free, I think, is go to the park. Or at least take walks. Because even even if it's my own neighborhood, because I do it on a regular basis

There's a couple of places you can go to, or galleries, if you can go to a gallery and just sort of check out and be a condos tour, at least just visually if you can afford it and just look at art. So I would say walking. And if you can go to art gallery or something like that, those are probably the best free activities you can do

You gosh. What a great idea with this collage challenge. You know, it's been a long time since I've done collage, but, gosh, you've inspired me. This just may be my activity this afternoon to get my juices flowing. Looking forward to Collaging

Also, of course, it goes without saying, whoever wants to participate in this, whether you've been tagged or not, please, please participate. Tag other people. Tag me. Yeah. Let's have a collage party

I love that you both said walking, because that's mine too. I love it. And I love, like, how much you leave up to chance when you just go on a walk, because you even if you walk the same route, which I do. Copenhagen is a pretty small city. There's always something new. There's always something happening

You? Yes. I love this collage challenge. All right. I'm definitely going to take part. And I loved hearing everyone's free favorite things. Walking is definitely on the top of my list. And then just sitting in parks, that's been something I've been enjoying. Just taking a blanket and a journal or a book and really just enjoying some nature time since I'm in a big city. But yes, I also echo Glenn, the museums, any kind of free museum

First, why is there an ask button on this post instead of a reply? And also, can we do this again? I would totally be up for this
I just stumbled upon this. I don't know how or why I ended up here, but here I am. Now, I can answer a couple of your questions. First, I know that Roe does this every so often, so she'll definitely do it again. The ask button. There are a couple of advanced settings when you are creating a swell that you can opt into or not. And basically, this ask option sets up sort of an interview style situation

Maybe I'll make a new one too, as well. I think that's kind of fun. Maybe. I do like the idea, and it's a fun way to get to know people's interests and get to know more about them. So please participate. I would love to hear yours
