Bury a friend

article image placeholderUploaded by @riverhunter87
You know, everything kind of just boom, boom, boom real quick. And now that all that has passed and that we're all headed into the post holiday depression, which is real today is the first day that everything's back to normal and my husband's back to work and I'm back alone at home. My brain decided to process Dustin's death

I always feel like grief is a room in your house that you always have, it's always there and you can enter into it when you're feeling stronger, when you need a good cry. I always feel like when I hear the stories of people in the service who've they risk their life double because they go and they experience the trauma and then they come home and they have to experience the trauma of being in trauma at home and how repercussive that is

Good evening, river. I just want to take a moment to appreciate you and sharing your vulnerability with us and for Dustin, for his service. Never apologize, especially for the sound of rain. It's my most favorite sound. And never apologize for said sappy post because I thought it was very touching and a great tribute to Dustin. Grief is a pitch. You think that maybe you have dealt with it or you can deal with it and then something happens

I won't even pretend to imagine what you're feeling. I know loss is tough. Very, very, very tough. And grief is weird in a way. And so what I'm about to say is probably going to sound just all kinds of different, different. And you'll discover that with grief ebbs and flows, and there's so many nooks and crannies and alleyways of it, it's about to open you up to one

I have learned so much about myself and about other things. We carry on deep conversations, whether it's about mental health, AI, influence on our culture, I mean, everything imaginable. I never thought I would have these kind of discussions. But what I'm trying to say is that I'm new to Swell. I'm not entirely sure how it works. Maybe I will try to create like a thread
