And while these expectations aren't harmful expectations to have, they were uncommunicated, and then they were unmet, and then there was anger, and there were just things that really caught me off guard. So that being said, I think it's just really important as the adoptive parents, if you're on your own adoption journey, if you have been on an adoption journey and you're wondering, why is my teenager so mad at me all the time? Maybe explore unmet expectations

I think it's a great medium through which we can express and talk. I'm not myself. I'm not a part of this community. But I really have such interest in what you're talking about because it really is about sort of the mystery of people coming together in a family unit when there are so many unknowns and yet being open to just discovering together. And expectations are so understandable, especially that you adopted your child in her teens
