Color me poetry 1

article image placeholderUploaded by @POETDANNYQUEEN
Color Me Poetry part One by Poet Danny Queen. Color me the man that cry out and that will be my eternal flame. Color me poetry for nobody knows my name. I am the middle passage and actor. You are me, and I am you. Wear the mask of America, something old, something new for I am poetry. I am the living experience. I am the lifelong proof. Color me the poetry of nothing but the truth. Color me a love child lost in the promised land

This is tribute poetic to Black poet/writers/artists artists

I Danny. I just want to thank you for posting this. It's just beautiful and just so strong and rhythmic and I don't know, just beautiful. Did you write this? I'm thinking you did because it sounds sort of familiar. But then I think you wrote it. Just let me know because I want to celebrate you more either case. And have you been a poet for a long time? Are you someone who found it in your path on life? Or did you take classes?

Yes, I did. I did write this piece in the 90s when I was in college. I used to do a TV show out of Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. And I did a TV show entitled Color Me Poetry. And I wrote this piece before that. And when I got the opportunity to do a show, I was trying to find a title for a show and I came up with Colored Me Poetry. And that's how that came about

It? In response to your question, yes, of course, I did write it years ago. And no, I never took a creative writing class. I've never taken any kind of writing class. Ever. Thank you
