Refresh Friday’s: Don’t Get Overwhelmed By the Simple! Inspired by Marco North

article image placeholderUploaded by @PKBriggs
Because if you listen to some of the things that he has endured and just where he is now and he talks about his writing process and the discipline and just how he navigated these extreme circumstances, I'm like, I'm getting overwhelmed. Pk You're getting overwhelmed over some coffee spilling on your shoes and your hands. These are simple things that can be fixed, like buy another cup of coffee. Not convenient, but it can be fixed

Every meal, a feast. That's another one that I'll play in my head from time to time. Make it through this, make it through the big suck. Then every day will be a holiday. Every meal, a feast. Yeah, it's that perspective check and being able to be self aware enough. I guess that's where it comes

Right after I finished listening to your Swell, I was making myself a cup of coffee and it reminded me of a little Zen story that I heard that I think would fit nicely on this swell. And it goes like this. It says you're you can lose your favorite tea cup and be sad about it, or you could lose your favorite tea cup and be okay with it. Get on with life. Either way, the tea is still gone

@PKBriggs @soulcruzer link to "A pregnant moon" https://bit.ly/3kyQvIb

It's a long, complicated story, but I'm still not assimilated here. So what the result of all that is? You constantly are outside of the experience that's happening. You are constantly sort of witnessing yourself in this weird moment, and I think expats have incredible perspective on their home and where they're living. You're always a stranger in a strange land, and it's quite natural, which is one of the great benefits of travel

@Marconorth ☕️✨😁

I'm assuming your stories you're telling or things you've written, but I do. And I'm going to check out your link, The Pregnant Moon, and another one you mentioned, too, I think, was going to respond to Deborah
