Forecast Wednesday’s: Equanimity

article image placeholderUploaded by @PKBriggs
Good evening. Good evening friends. P. K. Here it is forecast Wednesdays and I don't know if you could tell by the music in the beginning but I have been thinking about Equanimity and I don't know if you've ever heard of it, but it's a very interesting concept that I've been trying to I don't know if trying to achieve is the right word, but trying to adopt in my daily life as I go through ups, downs, all these different challenges

And it's just a mental practice. And I think that's also equanimity because that's tapping into the lack of transience. Equanimity is a steady, ongoing thing that observes in an unattached way the transience of life as I'm understanding it. And so thank you for reminding me that, because this week, especially when I feel like there's never enough time, which is every waking minute, I will come back to that place

So, yeah, equanimity something that I definitely strive for as a study or as a student of philosophy. I think that it's really important to kind of always think of ways to keep tranquility and just like, make sure that you're always thinking level headedly and without any sort of harsh emotion. Whether it's too much excitement, too much, what's the opposite of excitement? But either way, it goes on the spectrum of emotions. Just trying to stay balanced is really important for me

Being in balance is so hard, I think, especially now because we have to balance so many things in our lives. And I think that it's just something that we really need to think about. And it's really hard because you don't think that you think you need to check yourself and you kind of sometimes do. And I think it takes moments like this to really help you understand that you need some sort of balance in your life or you're going to tip over

D. Good morning. What up? Yeah, I think the word you're searching for is malaise. So not being too excited but not also being like in the spirit of malaise or like meh, you know. Yeah. And to me, the transient piece, right. Just the hope or the awareness that it will pass, you know what I mean? Like that is an absolute promise of all things, like death, not to get dark. But you know what I mean

@JCB07 👏🏾👏🏾 "and we have to live"

And I think that in itself, that is the process. We have all these kind of tools that we use. But your commitment to self reflection is huge. And I appreciate you have an amazing day
