Day Dreaming…. Seriously you should do it more often

article image placeholderUploaded by @Phase_Reality
I did find myself being way more motivated because it's just like, d***, I could do so much better. I could do a lot more better for myself. And you go back to the science and philosophy of everything that starts from the thought, so why not daydream, right? Why not dream while you're sleeping? And why not daydream when you're up?

And it's interesting because one of the things that I've learned about myself over the last couple of years, it's that it is okay to dream, to think about your future, not just professionally, but also personally, places you want to go, things you want to do, fun things, imagining future grandchildren. And so I can easily see how taking the time to daydream about all that's possible for oneself could be a form of meditation

However, it was expressed in terms of, are you over there daydreaming with daydreaming, the act of being categorized as a negative or a distraction or something you really shouldn't be doing unless you truly have free time. And so that was my thought of it. If you drift off, zone out, or not completely focused on what you're doing, you're daydreaming, and that's a distraction, you don't need to do that. That's how I grew up, viewing that word

But the idea that inside those daydreams, there's opportunity for creative thinking, which can help problem solve the waking hours. And as a creative, I depend on my mind going places to catch a muse that is not going to be on the ground. It's going to be up there, like trying to problem solve or something. I definitely go into a state, and I love when results come that feel kind of divine are inspired

And I do miss those moments where it does feel like that. I'm not saying I do miss those moments. They still happen because they still play a little bit. But the part where you grab something out of thin air and we can go down all the technical terms and talk about the quantum field and blah, blah, blah, blah, but it really does feel like we can pull things from air and just create this beautiful piece of art

And I think you mastered it because you did something that a lot of people dream about. There are a lot of kids, a lot of teenagers who are dreaming about being published authors, not just writing ebooks or anything. Like being a published author is a huge task. So that's why I think day dreaming is so important, because it allows for people to do that

Hi, JL. So good to hear from you. You hit the head right on and out with that. Everything starts with a single thought, right? So why not give yourself a chance to really expand what you possibly can do by allowing yourself to daydream a little bit? I did it a lot. I was very disassociated as a child, so, I mean, I daydreamed a lot, but now that I'm older, I find that daydreaming really allows me to figure some things out

So, yes, I wish I could daydream more because I think there's so much more that I could think and dream of doing or places to go or things to do. But anyway, at least it sounds like I'm on the right path, so that's a good thing. In response to your question about the book, sales are slow but steady, so ironically, authors don't how do I want to say this?
