So we went in and obediently sat at the bar. And I was in my 20s, kind of cute. And Alice was in her thirty s and kind of adorable. I mean, not Alice, excuse me, Sally, but Alice was in her forty s and not conventionally pretty

And I had sneakily put on the true love oil right before seeing him. We were walking to a restaurant. Jeffrey had never told me how he felt about me, although I was head over heels for him. And as we were walking to the restaurant, he said, out of the blue, I'm going to stay in New York for a while longer because I've fallen in love with you. And I just smiled
