Would you buy… a parent translator?

And even though the scene was kind of funny to me, but also very like I said, relatable, I think back to several conversations and the relationship, really that I have with different parental figures and how I could have used a parent translator in several conversations where we were just talking and it was not going well. And the thing is, I would want that parent translator to be there, not just to help that parent understand what I'm saying better so we can have a better communication

And what I have picked up, what I've observed just on this journey I'm on lately, is that the times that it happens is when she feels guilty about something versus her accepting or owning what she feels guilty about. Whether it's in action or inaction, what she does is she'll displace it onto me and say, well, you're doing this, or you always think this. Are you XYZ?

Some people aren't really great with their parents some of my friends they've had a solid communication with their parents almost like in a TV series or movies and that kind of shows to me it probably shows to an extent perhaps a bit of a maybe unhealthy way how my relationship is with my mother if I can look at them and say oh y'all

@Her_Sisu.

Good morning, JL. As I was listening to your response, a lot of that does resonate with those conversations happen with a parent where you know it's you are to blame for not reaching it out and doing something

But for me personally, a parent translator, I feel would have been beneficial because sometimes what I've learned now, especially like I'll give an example. I had a recent conversation with my dad recently and I'm used to him talking to me a certain way, but that's just how I perceived it. Once we had the conversation, he explained it to me. It was just how I was taking it in, but the reality of it was what I was looking for

Then you talk about those children who don't have quality relationships with their parents, and they don't even want to at this stage. They're like, I don't need that translator. I just have to reduce and minimize my interactions as much as possible that are comfortable and convenient for me. I can respect that. I really can. I've most likely been doing that in different life stages when it comes to the relationship that I have with my parents
