And I was so grateful to him at that point, he installed it in 15 minutes. So then I just learned to tolerate Bill. And a few years passed, I was just gearing up to move, and the pandemic started. So I stayed. Two of my neighbors died in the building. And then all of my neighbors rallied together to help one of our dying neighbors and her family. And so I bonded with Bill and his wife

I love this story. There's nothing like an enemies to friends arc via the heat and uncomfortable situations and helping each other out when things get hard. It was really beautiful to hear how sort of that image of him post ham and post father's cigars, that you were still open to see something else in him and that he was open to show you and that you could forge this lovely friendship between all of you, especially with neighbors
