Never been a daddys girl.
We were about four to five years old and we were running around in the yard with our mother's boyfriend, who later became our father figure. Our biological father pulled up despite having no memory of him before that day. I clearly remember us running to the car screaming daddy with joy, but all we received was the harsh smell of burnt rubber as he sped off, leaving us yearning for a connection we never truly had and never knew

What a powerful moment of your life you must be living right now to have him back in your life. I can't imagine how that Christmas was that just passed.
