Destigmatizing Therapy!!!

article image placeholderUploaded by @Noalily
However, I think there are people that go that don't necessarily have anything hugely wrong, but it's just a good check in, and maybe they have bits of anxiety here and there, or they're just at kind of a hole in their life. And I think people don't always talk about going to therapy when it's not for depression or when it's not for an illness kind of mental health issues. So I think there's still kind of more to do on that

@ellabasing thanks for talking with me ❤️

@ellabasing how was it going so young ?

But back then, did you have to suffer through some kind of feelings of, like, oh, my God, I'm weird. I'm going to therapy. Nobody else is. Like, what kind of environment were you in when you went to therapy? When you were young

But yeah, I mean, kind of looking back on it. It feels young me going in at 15, but I also needed it. And actually, I wouldn't be in the place I am today if I hadn't gone into it. And it was kind of one of those things where my parents said, we really think you should do this and kind of open that conversation. So I was lucky

And I think that the topic of destigmatizing therapy P is a really good one because obviously the generation that we are in currently, I feel like most of my friends and most of the people that I know are in therapy, and I was in therapy at one point, and it was really helpful and really helped me have an outlet to discuss my problems with someone who is level headed and didn't have any preconceived notions about my friends or anything like that. Yeah, I think that that's super awesome

Good morning. My name is Deborah, and I am a therapist. Thank you, Noah. Lily, and thank you, Ella, for your Frank account of your journey. I see therapy as a longover ocean journey with a boat mate, and it's kind of like sometimes a stormy and sometimes are calm, sometimes are boring and sometimes are tumultuous and really scary
