Gender Dysphoria - opening up the discussion

So we are born a girl, so we have to dress so feminine and vice male and dress so masculine, and this can cause anxiety, depression, confusion, all sorts of horrendous things. And it's often used to describe people who are on the binary transgender. So when somebody is assigned at birth, one gender, but they feel that they're another

Genders are cultural construct to me...

But I can imagine since you're speaking about it, that people are perhaps feeling tortured by this decision they have to take and all that today. I think it's possibly you feel freer if you just ask yourself, how do I feel? Full stop. And this is already quite complicated. Before asking yourself, Does it correspond to your stereotype anyway, that's my two cent on this. I hope I'm not coming across disrespectful or something like that. I'm a naive person

I appreciate you, that’s all🙏🏾 @NLOFrank

And when you try to step out of those rules, then your life does become complicated. I know the term gender dysphoria, and I would say that I don't think I know anybody that has experienced it. I guess if you're a trans person, I assume that would be considered gender just for you. But again, I don't know. I don't know a lot about it

@dzakyem

Hey, Taseke, please let me know if I've mispronounced your name or I do want to get it right. Thank you so much for your reply. As long as we keep respectful, it's an open discussion, so everyone's opinions are valid. I definitely agree with you that I think that to a large extent, gender is a cultural construct. We have our views of gender based on what society tells us. As you said, your example was spot on

Thank you for being awesome as always @realbriggster

At times I have thought, should I post this, but I'm not sure in regards to your mention of not knowing people with gender dysphoria, and then you said maybe trans people see, this is quite an interesting thing that you've brought up, and that's one of the reasons why I wanted to post this is because there are misconceptions, and I think one of those is that all trans people experience gender dysphoria, and that's why or how they realize that they don't focus on their bodies
