Why is Hate Spreading Around Our College Campuses?

article image placeholderUploaded by @MotivateMeU
Hey, swellcasters and visitors, welcome to the first episode of the Motivate Me, you swellcast. So the question today is, what is going on on our college campuses? Is it any surprise that the war in Gaza has turned our college campuses into these hotbeds of conflagration leading towards hate based violence? People ask, aren't colleges supposed to be havens for free speech, enlightenment, and open minded intellectual discourse?

What I'm most disappointed in is the way the lazy way media has described some of these offenses. Just recently, they talked about Susan Sarandon coming out for the Palestinian cause, but with the language that is full of hate. So when she was let go by her agency, they know Susan Sarandon let go due to pro Palestinian comments

We don't speak to each other with any level of respect. Instead, we've become so polarized, so partisan that we talk at each other. Well, I should probably rephrase that. We yell at each other. And I mean, you just have to look at how politics has even changed drastically over the last ten years between Republicans and Democrats and each side, they go to their respective corners, fold their arms, and shout at each other, and they get nothing accomplished
