Green Light Go! Evolved safewords
Did you know that safe words evolved? Hi, my name is Mr. Screen and I am a nonbinary Dominatrix and a BDSM provider in Michigan. Today we're talking about a new Sieve system. Well, it's not quite new, but it's been around for a while in the BDSM community that helps communicate how you're doing during play. And it's called stoplights. So normally you'd use a safe word like, let's say it's pineapple

But you have to have the structure, and that is such a cornerstone for all relationships and all things and matters of the heart. So it just struck me that those are the two stations you chose. And what I also like about the safe words and the structure within red and green and yellow is that you're leveraging public knowledge. Pineapple is adorable, and it could be an agreement between two people

Thank you so much for this comment and this question and the clarification. Yeah, it's interesting because a lot of what happens in media and even pornography about BDSM is you're jumping in at strange, specifically. Let's just talk about pornography. If you're looking at pornography and the way that any sort of like kinky or fetish pornography is portrayed, you're not seeing the relationship between the folks that are participating together

Hi. Yeah, thank you so much for posting this and for talking about what you do. I think it's so important in, like, destigmatizing, like, talking about sex and, like, BDSM and also making sure that, you know, everybody is advocating for really cool, clear, consensual sexual activity

Oh, absolutely. I think that if we could normalize this as a communication framework, I think a lot of conflicts could be results. I really do. And I think that using it with children is a great example of that. Communicating with their peers, communicating with family members, communicating with their teachers. It has great potential. Absolutely. Thank you so much for this comment and for your appreciation as well. Very nice to hear from you
