Mindfulness gives me margin to live a full life!

So I thought today we'd start with margin. What is it? Why are we trying to attain it? And then in the future swells, we'll get into the basics of mindfulness practice, how I came to it, how I began the practice, what it has evolved into today, and eventually share the resources that I use and that I've created for others to help them in their own mindfulness practice

Hey, I love this concept. I've definitely never heard of margin explained in this way, but it definitely makes sense as like reserves or making sure that your cup is full all the time. It's so huge and so key and it's so simply put. So I don't want to say too much on it because I just want to sit and appreciate it for what it is, but think that there's a lot of uniqueness in that perspective and I appreciate you for bringing that perspective

Good morning and thanks so much for your reply. I'm very grateful that you would take time to respond and say a few words about how the Swell impacted you and your reflection on it. One of the things you said that I really appreciate is about being your own fountain. And there's is a concept in mindfulness that we have a rich inner resource that we can rely on to be the Fountain and to fill ourselves and cultivate the energy, creativity and peace that we need to exist in

And while we have this ability to tap in or ignore the ever present, miraculous, untapped, abundant, limitless source energy that's all around us at any time. And you can call it God, you can call it Allah, you can call it Buddha, you can call it universe, you can call it source. Alan Watts says you can't get wet by the word water. So as long as you feel it out, feel it well, it's there. And it's always there

I probably approached it in the very beginning of my journey as and I'm not at all proud of this, but as a transactional thing like oh, if I do this, I can feel better, I can have more power and strength and stability, that it was something that could help me achieve more or be more successful. I guess that's the thing I want to confess
