When someone gets extremely defensive about something that you have come to them in a very calm and personable way and a polite fashion, and they get defensive, that is a telltale sign that they have troubles with their behavior patterns, their reactions to things because of past traumas, because of how they were raised, because of things that happened to them. We don't know what they are. That's their business. But it sure shows when you see this happening
