You are being too emotional. I myself have been in relationship with someone who utilized and in some cases over utilized this interpersonal tactic. It was a device that they defaulted to because it is part of the culture, part of their native family and upbringing. And I wanted to bring it up because without being coined as a specific characteristic of an interaction between two people in and of itself, it can jeopardize your relationships. It is, in my opinion, a very destructive habit
