Some wouldn't qualify it as a trauma event, but for me it was very traumatic. Where I was called upon, assigned to do in a public speaking class, which in the top ten fears that people have globally, public speaking is one of the worst. It ranks pretty high up there

Internal emotional & psychological phenomenon which causes a person to fear "being found out/exposed" Where does this begin? #ThinkingOutLoud

@lwatsonjr "our experience." 🙏🏽🌊💭❤️💯

When we finally got into therapy, the therapist really started narrowing down that our mother pretty much was where we were looking to get satisfaction from, to get this sign of you're good enough. And so when our mother didn't give us that going throughout the world, we were looking for something that was unrealistic. And so we also were set on unrealistic expectations and thoughts such as we're not good enough, we're not perfect enough. We have to work harder, we have to do more

@The3rdOWL: 🙏🏽 Thank you so much!

And perhaps I'll devote more time to their mention of belonging and even the correlation with God or Creator or divine being that there is something to be said and to be examined, perhaps about that correlation between the fear of being found out or the fear of being exposed and this misnomer that exists in relationship to belonging. I myself, just to sort of add to that and compound our open dialogue and contemplation about Imposter Syndrome struggled to be understood, characterized, and this is at a very young age, right
