A Full Time Guest
You. Good morning. This is chats with Mahoney. I'm Mahoney. I've got my cup of coffee here, and I wanted to talk about something that is very important to people like myself. Full time travelers, backpackers, vagabonds, and that is being a guest. Not just a guest. We actually assume the role of full time guest, especially if you're like myself and don't actually have a home. Van lifers can kind of technically say they bring their home with them

You. So continuing with this as a guessing, I had a question after creating that spell for you guys, I would love to know what it is that you do as a guest in someone's house. Do you help with the dishes? Do you help cooking meals? Do you cook the meals? Do you help doing house chores or yard work? I'm curious to know. So please leave your answers here with me

And I've been very blessed with friends that live in different parts of the world and even here in Los Angeles, friends that live in the mountains and in the deserts. And I go visit them or we go together to their second homes or whatever. But I always cook. It's my thing. That's my gift. I bring the food, I cook the food. And it brings absolute pleasure to me and to them to have that celebration. Because food is such a vehicle

Same thing. Make sure that sink has no residue, and a few other things that I'll leave unspoken in that vicinity. But anyway but it all depended on the various homes, too, of what was their level, of how they kept their homes, what they wanted their homes to be like, whether they wanted you to step in or not. Because some could find it did find it insulting, even when you think you're taking things off their hands or helping out

And so I just wanted to add to that that what I generally do is I will ask, hey, guys, I really appreciate you letting me stay here for such and such time. Is there anything I can take off your hands? Anything I can do for you guys while I'm here? I found just putting that question out there eliminated a lot of that sort of limbo area, making things difficult

And when you offer something as simple as something to eat or a glass of tea, I mean, a cup of tea, we have iced tea. We have glasses of iced tea in the US. But cup of tea in the rest of the world. You're inviting them into your world. You're inviting them into your life, and by eating the food, you're taking that into yourself
