I had a friend that had a problem with his boss and the way she was running the company and the person that he was talking to every day about it, he basically ran back and told the boss and she called him in the office one day and said, you know, you're not happy here. And it was so messed up because she didn't even come to him and ask him whatever the situation is, do you have a problem? She just fired him. Based on what?

And you want to feel like you can just live into it in your full self and talk to people and have that valve to let out some steam. But to your point, you have to figure out how to do that and where to do that and who to do that with without jeopardizing your work stability. And it's a sad commentary, actually, because you do want to have this cone of trust with somebody, this cone of silence where, hey, I got your back
