You. Good morning my swellcast family. Good morning. On. Today is September the 11th and every year we don't celebrate but we remember what happened September the eleven 2001 al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes and they flew them into targets in the United States. Now the attacks killed near 3000 people. It injured about 6000. And even with the fallout of some of the materials from the buildings people developed cancer from asbestos and they died

I had a very interesting reaction to it that evening. I had some wood in my home, and I started to build little towers and just do some artwork to get my soul involved, get my hands involved. And that was my reaction. I lost a cousin that day on the plane, married to my cousin. It was his husband. It was her husband. And I didn't know till much later, but I think so many people lost people

Just continuous back to back to back to back updates on what was happening in New York and DC. And by that time, the other plane that had crashed in, I think, Pennsylvania. So that was scary. And I remember going home that night. My dad, of course it was my dad's mom who had passed away. So he was still very much grieving

Yeah, I don't know. I'm having trouble talking about it now. It's still something that's so haunting that it feels almost like it wasn't real at times, even though it very much so was. Anyways, I'll leave it with that and just say huge, massive, massive love to the first responders that day that put themselves before anybody else. I mean, just hats off to them

He was gas panicking, which basically the whole community did, but he said, go fill up all the gas cans. Go do this. And that's what we spent the day doing is filling up the vehicles, filling up it gas cans. And then I remember going home that night just emotionally exhausted after three to eleven shift and driving past and seeing the line of cars at the gas station and thinking, will everything ever be okay?

But I'm so glad that the United States is so resilient and we have a fighting spirit and that we stood together with each other in order to get past this. Even today, these many years later, we're still talking about it. But we're talking about it and reflecting on it because we want to do something about it. And we did then, and we still are now. It's always making a difference to remember

Grown out of college, working. However, you're right. Everything changed that day. Innocent children became adults. It was just somebody on a single prop that got lost in the clouds and thought it was just a complete accident and just a horrific accident. But as we were watching the building kind of smoke there, both myself and a coworker noticed and saw the second plane hit. And the announcers hadn't picked it up yet. And we were like, what the f was that? Did you just see that?

And of course, being at the pools and seeing the names of people and seeing flowers that were left behind, like, this is a person that somebody loved, and here's a fresh flower they just dropped off by their name. Again, it's a way to pay homage to that day. On that day, I was actually in college, and I had a class in the morning and then another class at like noon, and I came straight from working overnight

They caught my interest because especially the plane that went into Philadelphia, I kind of felt like to take over a plane and to, quote, unquote, crash it into a field and hit no city, no house, you can't just do that as a passenger, right? Even a skilled pilot probably couldn't do that, and I still kind of stand for that

But even if it means that we need to put more force on security, we need to do what we can in order to save the lives of millions of people who are still living in this country. So every time I think about 911, I think that we all need to pull together to ensure safety, because our safety is the most important thing

You. Hey, Lady Phi, thank you so much for your reply. I'm really glad that I got to contribute to your question. I may have made one mistake. When I told you my story, I told you the second grade. That was my bad. It might have honestly been the third grade when I think about it, because I was eight, I was only a couple of months away from turning nine at the time. And it didn't matter whether we were in New York because we were in our hearts and our minds, we were standing as one. And probably the first thing you would think of is, oh, it's probably like just like a little small plane hitting the building and not thinking anything more of it. And then as you saw the images that were coming out of New York, then it was just, you were just like shocked. And then you see the second plane hit the World Trade Center and then you hear about the plane that hit the Pentagon and it was definitely a somber day

Unfortunately, at this time, my mother, who I was living with, was a severe, severe, severe alcoholic. My neighbors knew this. So when I went to get off the bus and nobody was there to get me off, the bus driver was going to bring me back to school, but my neighbor was like, oh no, I'm her babysitter.
