article image placeholderUploaded by @l33r0n
She also released nine original songs for her artist project and worked with 75 other artists across the world, recording vocals for fiverr. And that was only last year. Her music can be heard on Netflix, ESPN, CBS and TVs, just to name a few, and it's been streamlined hundreds of thousands of times. So welcome, Olivia. I'm super excited to have you on. It sounds like you've been incredibly busy

You know, I have it's just a constant juggling act between being a creative and being a business person, I guess, is what it comes down to. But if you think about it, there are so many things in the world that require a voice, and it's just really exciting for me every day to wake up, use my voice, make a living off off my voice. It's really, really awesome

Anyways, here's a little sample of a cheer thumb so you can hear it's a lot different than Under Your Spell. It's a lot different vibe. And then another thing I do is I write for TV. So here's an example of an album that I just finished that's going to come out sometime this year. But I wrote this with Hit Music Lab, which is a group of guys in Australia. So, like I said, I work with people all over the world

So I'd love to just give listeners some context. And I know that you were bartending full time before the Pandemic. How did you and when did you make the transition to working only on music? What kinds of steps did you take to make that happen?

That is really awesome. And it's so cool to see how one small step that you took one day out of inspiration can lead to so many changes in your life and a totally different career. So I'd love to hear about what a typical day looks like for you. Sounds like you're juggling a lot of different types of work, work a lot of different projects. How do you manage it all, and what does your schedule look like?

A typical day for me starts really early. I wake up between like six and seven in the morning. I walk my dog, fish. I always stop for a latte. These days my drink of choice is Mocha latte. I do a few chores around the house and then I kind of jump into my day. And besides my morning routine, each day is very different and that's what's reality cool

It's really fascinating to hear about all the different tasks that go into making music. So to wrap things up, I want to ask you, what advice do you have for aspiring singer and songwriters? What is one piece of advice you wish someone told you when you were first getting started?

It's just the most important thing is just being consistent and do what you say you want to do. You're know, whatever you want to do, just start doing it again and again and again. And I really think if you stay consistent, you will find your way

I think that applies to any career, and I think that is sound advice for anybody that is looking to create their own career. So kudos to you. Now, the one question that I have, the one piece that kind of threw me off, that made me think, like, man, I didn't not know anything about this world, is the cheer music. Now, I have a daughter that just graduated high school, so I've gone to countless meets with Cheers dance teams

And in San Francisco, I'll loop you into my spotify, which I cringe out a little bit because it's old music. But I'm very proud of the years that I was able to do it, and I look at them fondly, and it was a great time. So I really connect to your heart and soul right now

We think it would be perfect for cheer music, because, like I mentioned before, cheer music is super high energy. It's like belting just really dynamic and aggressive and bossy and attitudinal all the things that I love to be when I'm singing. So I really had no idea it existed until this company approached me, and then they kind of showed me the ropes. And it turns out that every cheerleading group uses their own custom music

Hey, deborah. Thank you so much for your response and all of your kind words. I'm so glad that my story resonated with you. And it is amazing to hear your story, too, that you played in New York City for many, many years and created an album that's amazing. I can't wait to listen to it
