And I feel like I'll never be smart or funny or interesting enough for anyone to ever want to take the time to get to know me. And that bums me out a bit because I do want friends. I think people are so amazing and I like listening in on people's conversations. Okay, that sounds kind of creepy. I swear I'm not like a stalker or anything. I just like to eavesdrop sometimes and people watch, you know?

I do have a small group of friends, but no, I'm not a type that wants to socialize and mingle with people. So yeah, welcome to Swell. And hopefully you're going to have a blast on here. So I think you will love it over here

And so it was really difficult for me to make friends because I'd already had these preconceived notions of people that I was like, wow, I just don't vibe with these people. And that's totally okay. Just because you might not have a lot of friends right now or not a lot of people that you're talking to doesn't mean there's absolutely anything wrong with you. That is never the case

So I completely understand how you feel. I've always been just really shy and it was always really hard for me to like branch out and try to make friends. But I honestly think it just helps more like knowing other people go through the same thing, especially even like the people you're trying to be friends with. Like they're just as nervous to talking to a new person and sometimes it doesn't feel like someone else would be nervous to talk to you
I think if you just go up to someone and you find something in common, like, say you have a class with someone, you just go up to them and be like, hey, what was the homework? And it can be scary at first, but then it starts a conversation where you can then be like, oh, I don't know if we have any or something like that. And then you can be like, oh, cool, thank you

Hi, Kayla. My name is Katie. I'm in College. I'm a sophomore. But I definitely understand where you're coming from, what you're talking about. I do want to point out that when you said you think that if you do put yourself if out there, people will judge you or make fun of you or whatever it is, I just want to say, honestly, people don't care that much

I don't know if you've been accepted to College yet, but I truly recommend really going somewhere where you think your type of people will be interested. People are interested in what you're interested in. And with that being said, though, College sucks because here's the truth

And what you actually find is everyone is doing that. Everyone is second guessing and third guessing themselves to a point where we don't really speak or interact with each other. And I say this as well, being just a victim of it. But ultimately, somehow destiny kind of works its way around in terms of humans interacting and being social with one another and things of that nature
