John Kinsella’s "Balloon"

And therefore, though there are no kangaroos in this poem, I am going to read you a poem by an Australian poet, John Kinsella. There's a link to the poem here in the post. The poem is called Balloon. It didn't happen in that order. The endless growl of what will turn out to be miniature quad and trail bikes carried along the top of the valley and rumbling its contents

Wow. Katharine, this is the most extraordinary poem. It's it's the kindness of his soul picking up that balloon so that it didn't enter the system of another animal. Just with this curious spirit. I just it's so gentle and so caring. It and on the heels of you experiencing the wonder of all those kangaroos, there is a thread here. I know why you chose this. I also wanted to ask you first of all, welcome back
