And they roosted together and cuddled together and chased my daughter all over. And they didn't lay any eggs because they were still too young, I guess. And the hawk came back. A hawk came, and we lost a couple. But still, it was really remarkable how well they were doing. And one of the chickens turned out to be a rooster, which could protect the others from the hawk. And it was just the perfect ratio

This is such a typical, beautiful story of best and worst. Because the intention is so pure. And so let's integrate our lives with nature and let's have this great new experience of life cycle and all that good stuff. Watching how nature goes, how hawks come, how chickens do their thing. But the destruction and all that stuff. I could have predicted it. And I love how you told this story. Thank you

And if you don't take care of it, I'm going to. And FYI, I don't know what we're having as sides, but we're having chicken for dinner. And so the rooster comes at me, and of course, I have to respond like a knee jerk reaction, because you don't have time to make that plan. And so what I did was I used the bag with the clothing in it that's now really condensed and hard

Whenever my daughter's not there and we're bringing groceries in or I'm taking garbage out or whatever, I will use a rake, a leaf rake, not the one with the fan, and I will just shove him back with that sucker. I hold it in front of me like a shield. I kind of would like to bat him across the yard, but it. And my daughter calls him big boy, but she named all the chickens after food
