STARTING OVER | Introduction + quote

article image placeholderUploaded by @hope
And looking at your next move is not a huge move, but just a little move a to b, and maybe reaching out and getting some help from a coach or a therapist, or a good friend. The most important theme here is checking in with yourself. So right now I'd love you to check in with this quote, see what it brings up for you, and let me know what you're thinking

So I can tell you that each time I started over, and there's other times almost in their entirety, they were never done with any kind of planning. I just needed to try to get myself out of the situation that had become unbearable. And I just did that by leaving, whether that was mentally leaving or in many cases, physically leaving. I get what the author was trying to say about that there was a future

So for me, you don't necessarily have to let go of a friend or something like that when it comes to people, a career, maybe you have to step away from one career to really go do what you always wanted to do. But sometimes friends and relationships, sometimes they run a course simply based on you trying to get to a next level. They're not ready to take that journey with you, so they take themselves out of the equation

You were just like, this needs to happen now, and I need to start over now. And you did it. Whereas with Block 24 media, your orientation to this quote is specific to relationship building and breaking down and building and breaking down and sort of surrendering to the reality of connection and how it ebbs and flows. And it's interesting to think about resilience for both of you

And then after that, kind of went on the wayside. That lasted a couple of months, but then not everybody wanted to participate, but that went well, and it was a very rewarding experience. And then I thought, well, I'm going to just buy me a pocket camera. I didn't want to drive around. I love driving around looking at sunsets and scenery. I'm a portrait photographer, but my release is driving through the country, which I was already doing

And just like I did at that age, I was crushed that my parents were leaving and having to start over. And I saw this picture, and I remembered all those feelings and emotions that I had as a kid and not knowing how to deal with this new grief. So I started talking to him like I did when I was six years old or five or however old I was. And I just begged him if he could hear me

I want to be better. I want to feel better. Please help me. And I was sobbing. And I opened my eyes, and I'm looking at the house, and I see in the picture window a shadow. And it just took my breath away. Somebody was in that window looking back at me. And it dawned on me that I still had this picture in my pocket. I had carried it with me in my jacket

What an amazing move to North Carolina. My nephew just moved to Charlotte and I know it's a very storied state. A lot of things happened there. A lot of good families were there. A lot of people returned to North Carolina after going to the big cities and coming back. What a great story. Story. Super interesting. And you had me there. Wow. I'm happy you're happy. And thanks for being here

And over these past few years, and I live 5 hours away, I don't get to see him much, but he facetimes me. He came for Christmas and he facetimes me almost every night now and says, I miss you, grandma. I love you. I wish you were close by and he's just a little child, but you're telling me that you were five years old when your grandfather died and how much you remember
