Who is your accountability partner?

And it got me to thinking, okay, I get it. That's why a lot of these mastermind groups are the raise and are successful. Because there's an accountability feature in it where you're paying for someone to our group of people to every week hold you accountable to show up with what you have done. What actions have you taken from the previous week so that you're just not in the group, lurking and not doing your work for you?

And it's like I feel like I'm trying to help heal them, try to help make them better as a person. So I'm just not blessed. That's great that you're blessed in that area. Me, I'm not blessed in that area to have an accountability partner and to have someone that's strongly motivating me and questioning me on a day to day basis, hey, how's it going in your business? Anything I can do to help or did you do this today?

@Her_Sisu: Covenant Comrades…

It was just five of us who went through initiation and all that kind of stuff together, found spaces in each other's lives to hold each other accountable to the things that we aspire to accomplish and that we want to do everything from parenting to being mindful. Because some of us are married I'm not, but some of us are married

Thank you so much for sharing your response to this swell. And you touched on something that is spot on, although the sentence is who is your or the question is who is your accountability partner? But you captured something that is true. You could have pockets of accountability partners in different areas of your life, and they all hold you accountable in different ways for different components of your life. And those relationships are important. The dynamics of those relationships are important in terms of it being someone you respect

And in order to do certain things in the past, I did feel like I had to be working with someone until I had to sit with myself and find that person within me. So it brought me to this beautiful balance where now I can work with people. I don't mind collaborating, I don't mind working on projects or even if it comes to building a business with someone

And also finding again, I feel like I am a broken record today because I keep talking about the inner hunger, that inner zeal, that inner track, and how do people honor and keep that hunger inside to continue in the peaks and valleys of whatever they're seeking and pursuing to elevate themselves, their life, et cetera. And you hit it on the head. I love that. And so I'm going to borrow it, which is my inner child is my accountability partner

I am just grateful to be a reflection in a mirror of your greatness, because you facilitating this conversation, pulled that powerful message from the unconscious so that we could be aware of of it. So thank you so much. I'm definitely going to share this conversation so that people hear it. And thank you just for interacting with me. I'm pretty new to the platform, but it feels like home, right? It feels really good

Thank you for this topic. I think people start and stop because they're not perfectly aligned with their discipline and their commitment, and so they get bored. And in order for us to go back to that discipline or go back to the things that we were finding that we were in love with or practicing, it's a recommitment to self first, getting self to feel confident again, feel like you can trust yourself again in order to create these disciplines

No desire to have to actually attend class in person. I don't even like having to go to conferences so that I can maintain my CEUs as required for my nursing certification or licensure. And so I did this program. And I remember that was what was a key to success for me, which was organizing my day and organizing my week so that I could get my work done, I could go to work. I still worked full time for both my Masters and doctorate program

There are people who just need to be left alone from all the noise and say hey look let me give myself this day off to reflect, to sync, to recharge my batteries and then take on the world with a fresh mindset. If that works well then so be it. To me I think the buzzword or the operative word or the power word is sustainability. I follow an accountability strategy which is sustainable. What is sustainable?

Your accountability partner is your past mistakes, you guys like, I'm getting so many rich gyms from everyone's responses, I believe I might return back to this particular swell each week that I start my week, like, on a Monday. Like, just play you guys'responses back, because you guys have dropped some gems in this swell. And I am so grateful. I'm so grateful to the universe for these words of encouragement and inspiration

Imagine what the world would be like if we had more people to hold themselves accountable. God, imagining the iron sharpening irons daily, minute by minute. If we had people surrounded by one another and like minded or quality minded environments to hold one another or self accountable. Imagine that. Imagine the beauty in that. Now I need to go ahead and digress and get off here and listen to the other slow replies. But thanks again, JL. I appreciate it. I really do

Thank you, Warpig, for commenting on this Swell cast, on accountability and reflecting on just how it landed for you. Appreciate the feedback. And I'm trying to get my words together because I've taken on the challenge from another person Swell where they ask the question of what could your life look like or the world look like, or experiences look like a paraphrasing if you didn't speak in the past tense or the future tense. And you only focus on the present

It was the fact that I wasn't happy with me, man, because at the end of the day, I wake up to me, I go to bed with me, I go to the bathroom with me, I take a shower with me, I can't get away from me
