Here's How Swell Nailed It's Engagement Model #askswell
In more ways than one, Swell may have succeeded in addressing the deficiency that exists in the current social or online engagement models, namely by bringing the personal element into the interactions. Popular social media platforms feel way too commercial in how users are able to create, engage, and sustain interactions, and this is where Swell appeals to the audience. It's personal and engaging. Using the podcast structure as a baseline framework, swell is allowing users to build meaningful conversations around topics that appeal to them and relevant audiences

It has really served as a kind of a good opportunity for me to get connected with the people who share the same kind of views, who share the same perspective on life. So it has really allowed me to grow somewhere

I mean, when you're sick, it's completely okay to go to a doctor and get prescribed certain medicines to help you deal with your ailment. But when it comes to mental health, seeking medical help is seen as a taboo, right? We are okay giving the medical attention to our bodies, but we find giving medical attention to our mind or our mental health not a priority. And I'm glad that these conversations are happening at a larger level

When someone is in an anxiety mode or someone is going through a depression or a low point, it takes a lot of effort for someone to even step outside their home, let alone talk to people and meet people. So I think online counselings and online supports actually helping that sect of people a lot, where people are able to reach out effectively. And I run an entire organization around mental wellness and we do counselings and our slots are always booked

Hi Geo. Thank you so much for asking me such a valid point, such a valid question. If you go for my opinion, in my opinion, I would rather say that if you have a deep seated psychological problem, you are on the lookout for a well versed, well educated, well qualified psychotherapist, then you must go in for one on one counseling

Ah, so much goodness here. I don't even know where to start. So I made notes and I'm going to be hitting as many of the points that I can. So number one, I love that you said that Swell brings back the humanity to social media because to be fair and honest, I had given up on a lot of social media platforms because I just simply could not handle the negativity, which is something that you also indicated, right?

So there's also that fun part of this that, like you said, it's the Facebook of podcasting. I just think it's the Facebook of engaged conversations and that this is where you come if you want to, instead of being typing in the comment section of somebody's post on somewhere else. In other social media platforms, you can come here and actually say something and so far prayerfully. It stays this way

And it only is as good as the voices that join. So that is definitely the truth. Thank you so, so much for just bringing this little moment, this tender moment here. Thank you

Hello. At the rate taw two. Thank you so much for chipping in. By the way, I wasn't able to figure out what your name was, so I'm just going to call you Taw Two for this. Well, a lot of product feedback in there, quite a lot of interesting ones, some of which crossed my mind as well. So great. I mean, askswell team product feedback there for you right here. Use of feedback. Right. So, yeah
And I think that that almost makes us think a little bit before putting something out there as opposed to reacting in the moment is that quote something like think before you speak. This asynchronous aspect really makes us at least pause, even if it's for a brief instant longer than if we're in a live conversation. And then when you're talking about these other aspects of Swell and the community that are created, I think that that really is what we make it. Right?

And you know, you are forced to think, put your thoughts together, maybe note them down, at least in your head, make a mental picture and then respond. Which means you're very conscious and mindful of what you're talking about, rather than the mindless likes and shares and tweets or retweets and things like that. So yes, I'm on board with you on that

Also, because I don't know anyone here, I personally have gotten a little bit more controversial than I have on Facebook, Clubhouse or Instagram. I can talk about topics that might rub someone the wrong way. Not intentionally, but just something that's on my heart and mind, and I feel more free to do that than I have any other platforms. I also like the five minute feature

Hi, Nidhin. Thank you for reswelling this, because somehow I missed this Swell, and I'm so, so happy to hear this entire thread. It is totally heartening to hear. And I think we do need a space for these kind of conversations to happen right, though? Those that are meaningful, those that are into intellectual, those that could be just sharing an emotional moment, right? And I think Swell has really served that purpose
