Honesty vs toxicity

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
And are we being conditioned as a society through the passage of time? More so now than ever to can your honest thoughts in favor of the good of the people rather than serving yourself

Should there be a line? #honesty

You do definitely have the option to not associate yourself with that group of people a lot, but simply being stubborn with who you are as a person, simply giving the excuse that this is who I am is not the very correct way to go about with it. So yes, be brutally honest, but somewhere be a little sensitive to and be a little bit sensible, too

It’s all about that vibe.

Parmy of whimsicalpastry. Thank you so much for responding to the swell where we talk about a difficult subject in a sense of honesty versus is brutal or toxicity in brutal honesty. In particular, when does it become inappropriate? And when is it constructive criticism? Some people may consider constructive criticism toxic. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all

I prefer the truth at all times, except for submitting my assignments. I need excuses for that to give to my preferences. But yeah, I prefer the truth at all times. And sometimes I feel like that I should tell people what they are wanting to hear rather than what they need to hear. But I just cannot bring myself to that extent

Honesty is selfless, pride can only feel like honesty. @Joylove

They would take time and consideration before they say their words, aka, sometimes they just don't want to say what it is that you say they're relieved that you said it, but they would never say it themselves. So when I think of honesty, especially if you're talking about the gentleman who happened to tell you what he would want to do sexually to you all the time. It's almost not really honest. It's more insecurity at play

Defying logic.. on occasion. Lol @Rover_Phoenix

But of course there are people out there where even just correcting a spelling error or grammatical error can incite rage and hostility because they are just used to not being corrected on such matters in their life, at least on their social media life. So it can be interesting when you go. I've been in that situation myself where I can remember

We already know what our personality is, what defines us, what doesn't what makes us feel good, what doesn't. So there is absolutely no point in breaking our head over some things that do fit with others and some things that don't. Now if it's a continuous occurrence, then maybe we should sit and think about it and maybe bring in some new changes. But if it's something that just comes in rarely or occasionally, then maybe let's just completely scrap it off

Delivery and the messenger are important.

I believe most people actually want to lie. They operate. And there's a lot of omission, all these different types of laughs. I think people avoid honestly like crazy. And people are probably inherently dishonest, because sometimes it serves you the individual to not be honest. This is a really interesting question, one that I think about often. I mean, you do need to have people in your life to tell you the truth, but also people who can care for you when delivering the truth

Thank you @realbriggster

It's interesting even on an app like Swell, where it's a social audio app, right. I've heard many instances of miscommunication with people both speaking the English language. It's all about that delivery and intent and et cetera that can make such a huge amount of difference

Pleasing your ego, ignoring others. @Whimsicalpastry

But what I have to remember is that sometimes it's equally as important to just get that message in your head out there, regardless if anyone responds. And just because people respond, it does not necessarily mean that it is a great topic. It's just one that resonated with people, and you don't know what's going to resonate with people all the time, or even better to resonate with people on topics that you might think they would never care about

@FryedOreo

And this entire swell has given me a new perspective on the whole matter. It doesn't matter if maybe tomorrow I still continue doing what I used to because change is very gradual and a different thing. But the fact that I got to learn something different, something new about people and their perspectives is pretty insightful, because now I know the different sites to this. Yes, I like this platform because when it comes to Instagram, you are pretty much under the pressure

Distinctions

And if there's something that can be done about whatever this is information that you're giving me. And I think that's really, I never thought about that way, but that's good. Am I going to get something from this, or are you just saying this stuff? Because as you said, it's serving you in some kind of way. I think that's a good attention. All right. Have a great day. Bye. You
