But…..Why???

article image placeholderUploaded by @DW6131blessed
Why are we all paid so much less? And why are our lives so valueless that we're not paid the big bucks? We're only paid enough just to barely make it. Either our spouses have to get jobs or unless we come from a wealthy family, which most of us do not. Why is that? Can somebody answer that question? Because that does not sound fair to me because I like football just like the next guy

I was just in the airport and somebody said something that was so striking because after the A's go on with Southwest, they say, any active military, please enter the airplane early. And someone looked at me and I didn't know, and said, why don't they have active teachers enter the airplane early? Teachers are on the front lines every day getting paid nothing. Why aren't they allowed to go on the plane early? I love that question

It becomes about the money when you get out and you have that skill set. However, while you're in there it's pretty much the calling of doing what feels right to you

Hey, Dennis, that's a real good clarification, and I really appreciate the sentiment you're sharing. I think that for so many people that have a calling, their their path their road is very personal. And sometimes we don't even even understand the motivations, and we assign value to things that might not be of value to them. I really love your specificity here. Thank you

So my personal experience with this has been I previously served between 1990 and 1996, and I really don't like the military. So I left, went back to New York and happened. 911 happened. And the week after, I re enlisted and I found myself serving over 20 years, because that was a calling before. There was no coin calling. There no motivation. However, 911 being so personal, that was my motivation, my calling

And I can elaborate a little bit on that quote from the Roman Empire. What do two people anxiously desire? What the are two things people anxiously desire. And that's bread and circuses. Well, to be fed is a concern and to enjoy and to have fun, to be distracted. So many people walk around thinking their team or our team or we, you hear all these pronouns that are used so possessively for these sports teams and people can really become it can build community
